This, I don't get it either.. there's been a lot of negative sentiment about the FPS mode in GTAV and I genuinely don't understand it. The FPS mode was so sublimely done, so perfectly realised (yes, lower FOV than we'd like.. I know.. every armour has a chink) that I'm legitimately shocked when people pick fault with it. I loved FPS mode so much I played the entire game in it, at every given opportunity at least.

Or Hellgate London. The "first person" view was basically just the camera zooming into the player model, you floated everywhere, it had no real weight or presence

After years and years spent seeking for the cinematic perfection, how can you even play at 60fps anymore. It feels like a soap-opera to me. 30fps with motion blur is the new nirvana, it's like being inside a movie, everything feels more visceral and epic. KC is a visionary of the industry and we keep dismantling his dogmas, shame on us. We know nothing! |

I'm playing on 45-50 most of the time and i can't say i experience the screen-tearing often. Yes, it occurs here and there, but very rarely. I'm hoping that new patch will give us back the old visuals, so i can turn down MSAA to x2 from x4 and maybe reduce some things so i'm back on 60. But until then, this will do.
