@ Sabin Agreed completely. I'm not denying anything either - the game doesn't look as good as it did a year ago and it's certainly nowhere near the launch trailer - that's completely beyond reach. But I can't wait to get my hands on it too - even though I'm actually gonna be playing the PS4 version this time around, being the poor peasant that I am right now Sad (buying a new PC turned out to be a bit too expensive for the time being, considering other expenses).

Honestly, out of the XBONE or PS4, you've got the best choice anyhow Very Happy

Ahhhh, the bullshit, "cinematic" trailer. I guess launch trailer should come on the weekend. I don't think anyone back then thought the game would look like that anyway Razz The 35 min. demo is where it's at.

Wouldn't touch the XBONE with a ten foot shittied pole Razz

Putting aside the obvious power difference, it's mainly because of exclusive lineup - I simply prefer Sony's approach in this regard. David Cage's new game alone would be enough to sell me on the PS4, even though I don't even know what'll be - that's how much I loved Heavy Rain and Beyond (with an emphasis on Heavy Rain). I was like glued to the screen for the entire 12-15 hours. And then there's the - still Sony-bound - Naughty Dog - if they manage to create anything close to The Last of Us in this gen, it'll be worth more than 10 Halos or Gears of Wars (to me, at the very least).

Rest of Xbone exclusives I'll hopefully be able to play on PC (once I do upgrade it, that is)

(I probably will mourn Quantum Break, though Sad )

Hahaha, okay. Then again, does it really matter? We're at page 24-something right now, we'll probabyl gain another 50 until launch. Most of it downgrade discussion/troll posts Razz I feel everything is fair game now, even pink ponies Razz

Probably won't make that much of a difference, as long as all files are in one place. Unless of course the game is very registry-conscious (happens sometimes...).

I might have missed it but apparently the reviewer in that IGN stream had played the PS4 version before and said the PC version is "a noticeable graphical jump above" (no surprises there) Smile

I haven't watched anything PC-related yet (dat Champions League), but did they say anything regarding mouse controls? ..or did they just play with the pad on as usual? Razz
That's much more important than the visual themselves for me really, wonky mouse controls are the only possible game-breaker.

Well there is HBAO+ and hairworks in the PC version, I don't know if the console versions have those.

None of those were enabled on that playthrough. They even showed it to everyone Smile

Sadly not. And that's the only thing that has worried me for weeks about this game Sad Hopefully we won't be in for a nasty surprise.

If they did say anything, it'll be in the frog-eating language Sad

I wouldn't be too worried, however. I don't think the PC controls will be any worse than they were in TW2 - meaning a badly designed, not mouse-ready inventory, and servicealbe rest (truth be told, I prefered to play TW2 on gamepad anyway... but I'm used to it, more or less).

Ah, thanks, so it's the only piece of the puzzle left. Let's hope it's the one that fits well. Very Happy These days you really never know..
I too would be happy if mouse controls were like in TW2, a bit rough but definitely not a complete nightmare like in the recent showcases made in Biowaretown.

do not worry, i heard a new intern at cdpr downloaded the latest joy2key version and is about to remap the right analog stick axis x and y to the mouse.
cdpr takes their pc fans very seriously.

After watching the IGN vid, it's worrying what this game will perform like at 1440p without a good SLI profile

SLI is listed for the game on Nvidia's site so hopefully they release a new driver for it, because currently the game isn't even included in Nvidia Inspector.

i guess its my way of trying to sort out the conflicting emotions i have:
disappointment about the heavy downgrade in the visual department and at the same time awe for the world design, writing and quests.
i am certain that the game is gonna be as fantastic as all the reviews make it out to be, and that i will immensely enjoy playing it.

Maybe...a couple weeks ago it was reported that ultra needed a 980 for 60 fps, but they've been doing more optimization since then.
