Ok, there's no point discussing it with you at least until the game is released and the usual suspects do their thorough video comparisons etc.

For me this looks substantially better than the "2003 looking" screens that were massively posted yesterday (supposedly from reviewer sites of the PS4 version). So in my mind it's 1 of 2 things:

1. Those screens were some trolling attempt by whoever made them (gaming sites?).

2. The PC version is indeed superior to the console versions.

One thing I'm completely sure of...

This stream shows graphics that are already superior to The Witcher 2 graphics.

So there's no point discussing with us because we don't see the difference between the PS4 shots released yesterday, or the PC "Ultra" footage released by Jesse Cox? Funny, that's what we've been saying about you and your claims of "can't see the downgrade" Very Happy

Superiour is a bit too strong of a word for me. Besides I don't know which specific screenshot you mean... but yes its quite similar to most of the shots we've seen.

You can't argue there is a massive difference in them.

3. As in any game, quality isn't consistent throughout, there will always parts that look better than others. Obviously fanboys search for (and post) the best looking parts, detractors search for (and post) the worst looking ones.

What the fuck is your point Harry bear? Laughing I can watch all the gameplay vids I want it never looks as sharp as when I play it for real in 1440p you understand? We might be able to say it looks worse than 2013 sure but we can't say it looks great or ugly or average or.....I couldn't judge the quality by these shit vids and pics at all. Of course you all can well then....

So you can't show bad videos or screens because... Reasons© But you can show good videos and screens because UPGRADE! That water screenshot came from video footage, but nope, apparently it's doctored by detractors in order to make CDPR go into bankruptcy, or something Laughing

You don't have to believe in ufos or my big dick the fact is we gotta see the game for ourselves and then decide if it looks good or horribly bad. Most of the pics and vids though have pixels due to low res (in the game and/or the video capturing) and I don't like it it looks shit and doesn't help.

This extremely sharp 2013 stuff is future music unfortunately though Smile

I still like to see what Witcher does regarding Tesselation. Dragon Age Inquisition did an amazingly good job on the ground and on walls. High quality tesselation there. Haven't seen that yet with Witcher but we'll see.

I'm calm Very Happy I just find it hilarious how you discount all the downgrade images and hide behind the "Youtube compression!" defence regarding their low quality, but now there's a YT video you LIKE and suddenly it's proof against the detractors. I'm completely calm, just very much amused Very Happy

You also gotta have an eye for real dick quality even beyond the ocean of bullshit low resolution vids and pics. The sharpness will make it look better I am sure and then we see the low details and can puke all night long but before that happens I won't puke I won't accept the need to puke I have myself under control till next tuesday that's for sure!

What does it have to do with taste though? You can like or dislike the new lighting/colour direction for example - but the washed out environment textures are objectively bad - same with this water implementation - it is just weak - skyrim-like bad bad water.
