Truth is, I still understand their reasons for the downgrade (which I never denied), and they were in a tough situation.
I couldn't give less of a fuck about the physical item in Xbawks CE.
I still think CDPR are one of the good guys, and the game will probably be fucking awesome.
But those screens comparing the densely populated city, and the scarcely populated city. That was just sad. There's NO reason PC couldn't have more entities there, even if other aspects remained the same.
Foken shame, because that impacts atmosphere A LOT.

We've reached a point where we can have thousands of NPC's on screen with an "affordable" impact on performance.
But, of course, affordable is a relative term and in the end the lowest denominator will force compromises.
EDIT
And, you know what... ?
I stopped looking at CDRP as sellouts. I think it's just the way it is, you know... Of course it's not normal to lie or turn their back at the PC fanbase that got them where they are now but...
I think they might have an ace up their sleeve regarding the PC. Might be hidden settings in the configs, might be some Enhanced Edition (in a more or less official form). I refuse to think they sold (completely) their souls to M$ and Sony.
I want to believe that they have not forgotten us. In time, I think there is a high chance that things will improve in the PC version of the game.

Though perhaps, like it happened with the Doge, the community will find a way to improve/unlock some aspects and effects that were disabled to preserve the dignity of the console versions. It won't fix the problem, but will alleviate it a bit which would be something (it's not that we can do much at this point). |
The big question will be how moddable the game is. I'm sure wizards like Vurt can provide us some good texture mods.
It was quite easy to mod the textures/models with TW2 without the mod tools as the game files were easy to unpack (also easy to make item/basic difficulty tweaks).
Removed shaders/effects will be the hard part.

Indeed that's not an easy task, because I imagine proper tools and unpackers will needed to make it happen (the config files alone most of the times aren't enough really, they're just "leftovers"). Let's hope our Geralt is not too encrypted and can be undressed easily.
Vurt's going to need a lot of magic for that grass, but nothing can stop the Master of Flora!

No idea about story but play the game with Polish voice and English subtitles for an authentic experience.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Yeah the story really sucked, right? Tell me, what specifically disappointed you about the story?

Gamespot must be sold to cdprojekt or something.
They are releasing some hype video each day

If that is the "original" language I may consider that, unless polish voice acting is bad. Is it? |
Yeah it is the original language. CDP is based in Poland after all.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

well based on the reviews it seems that it's kinda okward for Polish folks as they hired known voices which you can hear every day on tv, somehow exposing how poor the polish dubbing scene. But the quality is great, shouldn't be an issue for foreigners and you get to hear all the kurwas in their mother tongue

How is Polish "original"? Do we have real Witchers who speak Polish?

Only kurwa I'm curious about in this game is Triss. And her english voice was just sexy enough in w2.
