No wonder Sabin that the performance is critical with 20+ cars on screen, the difference between high and ultra on cars alone is 80.000 vs 300.000 polygons per car Laughing

DS2x would be approximately eleventy gabillion times more expensive, processing power wise, than SMAA Very Happy

Oh, god... The people online are friggin' retards Very Happy
I constantly end up somewhere at the top in qualifying and I ALWAYS get pushed out of the track on lap 1... And then I catch up with the dumbasses that hit me and pass them cleanly while they struggle to keep the car on the track...
One race today (Zolder) looked more like Carmageddon than a proper racing game - people were lagging all over the place, crashing, spinning, cannonballing straight through chicanes (and then rage quitting because of the slowdown penalty ).
Geezz, why do people like that even buy such games, if they don't even seem to TRY to drive. Just for the crashes? There are better games for that...

And the actual driving - hoooly crap, is it MUCH simpler than in Assetto Corsa. I'm afraid if I play pCARS too much, I'll lose all my AC habits (and gain some bad ones Very Happy) and I'll be even slower than I already am Mr. Green

What Codies F1 taught me for online races: Arrive late at first corner, go around the outside and steer towards the point the cars are sliding away from. It was ridiculous how many times I ended up first position by the second corner. Laughing

How do I get my lap times recorded for the online leaderboard? I'm noticing I'm constantly in the top 10 times on the Donington national track in the formula rookie car but I dont see my name on the list. Is it for online only events?

i just found out you have to race in time trials to get on the leaderboards, thats what i didnt know, i was in free practice all the time.

One another note I just found these custom FFB's for all the vehicles and they have made the feeling of driving with the wheel so much better.

What F1 2012 and 2013 taught ME was: "get into a league with people of a similar skill level". That pretty much solves everything and the racing gets infinitely better.

What's with the career. Is it racecars only and only one series at a time for whole time? Things will get boring pretty fast the way it appears to be.

And what's with pit stops. Entered a required one and the idiots there had problems screwing my wheel on and then even had to repalce car battery to screw me up completely. Are those crew mistakes scripted or are they just a way to screw you up and make you restart the race?

i can understand when someone gets off track cause hes a bit to fast cause the opponent pressures him from behind. but i cant understand those fuckers who crash into someone from behind in a corner, if there is an chance to overtake you are in a different lane.

Nope, it depends on the career objective... thing you choose at the beginning.
I chose the "from zero to racing hero in 10 seasons" one and I started the first season with just kart racing, but after winning the championship I was invited to a BMW M1 race at Spa.

Um... But those are only achievements. You don't select anything at career start. Same for those invitations, you unlock them by completing career goals, but they are restricted to calendar dates, so you must grind your way through game series just to get to them.

That career truly looks to be repetitive. Practice-Qualifying-Race repeated indefinitely in a few racing categories. Three formulas, karts, GTs and LMPrototypes. It really does not appear to be anything else. Add another annoyance in not being able to change cars you drive midseries, and everything becomes a grind.

I'm really not far into it, so maybe I'm missing something, but I really don't see what's the point of it. You are basically forced into driving their boring formulas, LMPs and GTs just to unlock invitations to drive some fun stuff like those classic Lotuses and those road cars that they have. But then those invitations aren't always available, so if you want more, back to the grind.
