Maybe CDPR are just worried that if console owners see the true splendor of the PC version then noone will buy their game, so everything has been set to low quality for the media, and on release, the PC version will be just like all the screens previously - but console preorderd will have already happened.

Thats bullshit keit there is stuff happening all the time. Police chases police shootouts with many cars and bad fuckers there are random people that rob you or want sth. from you or whatever you see crashes you see stuff happening all the time it cant be more alive than that....and all the main and sidemissions and the other stuff buying stuff and ....no i dont want to comment anymore. GTA is fuller than shit. No other game will come close regarding stuff.

GTA is empty... so much things to see... so little intereactions. In fact, eventho I love GTA V I can't help to feel like I have less to do than previous games. Most likely caused by the vastness of the world.

+1 I was pretty disappointed when I realized there was almost nothing interesting to do in this vast world.

Mine wasnt that bad, I cant see the download speed (dunno how) but I got like 25% done under like 20mins. I dont have top speed either but for my connection its pretty good. similar to steam

The question is what do you call stuff like Darts and Tennis and shit? If that doesnt interest you ok but dont know what to do...for example there are many parachute missions you did all of them? Just as an example....of course after 50h or more you are more or less done but before that stuff to do limitless. I usually dont know what to do next.
In Witcher there will be nothing else besides mainquests, sidequests and following footsteps playing cards and stuff. Of course thats ok thats enough but sth. great to do all the time? I doubt it. My hope is that the sidequests are fun. With dialogues and atmosphere nonstop. If not then.....fuck me!
Btw. is there an example for a game with a big world and sth. wonderful to do for 50-100hours?

Darts, tennis, parachutes... ru serious,m8?  Nah, I prefer a proper activity like sidequesting and stuff instead of getting all collectibles and playing tennis.

Isn't it quite obvious? No preorder. On release, check those stupid enough to preorder. Weigh up the whines and cheers for the game, then decide if worthy of a purchase. If it isn't, pirate, play for a bit, decide if game is actually better than everyone made out, pay for game.
Is this not standard procedure?

It's bigger than Skyrim. Note that the Skyrim map in this image is blocking out the TW3's Skellig Isles which are one of the major locations:
