I used to look forward to every epi... but this season its just not giving the same vibe for me.
It's not bad, but mjeh nothing special anymore.
Maybe the wait in between was too long, maybe I got spoiled with other shows... but the quality seems to be down this season.

The book got so boring right after

that I just stopped reading it. It felt like everybody just wandered around doing pointless boring shit.
It feels more like the story is over and it's an epilog, than as it's the middle of the story.
The problem with this season for me is that the tone has changed, a lot actually (and unfortunately for the worse). It's still highly enjoyable of course, that goes without saying, but there's more focus on personal matters (spiritual even), it's less of a grand-scale show and the cinematography itself isn't feeding us with breathtaking sceneries as usual.
But more importantly, there's the fact that the 80% of the interesting characters are dead and have not been replaced, which is certainly contributing. *shakes fist* Let's hope it gets back to its standards soon.
@JackQ: A blast perhaps is excessive, but there's some definite change of pacing (quite needed).
I have to disagree with you there ixigia I think the tone so far in this season is still the same it has uninterruptedly been ever since the show started, and that is the political one. I was praying it wouldn't go excessively to the side of fantasy with the Bran thing, and so far so good. It has been a bit slower than usual, sure, but apparently that is to improve starting with episode 4
Well, that was certainly the best episode in this season so far despite still being a "slow" one, following the trend of the first 3 eps, and that ending was fantastically tense and badass
The eps are following a really predictable pattern, it's becoming a bit irritating. Maybe I'm just getting frustrated for no reason watching this season, but I constantly get the feeling I'm watching an average show.
