I have an x360 and I have to ask: what do people see in Halo games that I'm missing? They're some of the most boring FPSes ever made... never managed to finished a single one on the 360 even tho I have an RGH (finished Halo1 on PC when it came out, but that's just because I pretty much played anything that came out back then)
I agree, 1 and 2 were shit. Still sometimes i just wanna see how they end or if they get better. Its like a bad movie, i know it sucks but i still watch it all.

halo 1 had some amazing weapon vs enemy design and great AI, + production values were great for the time. The game was a blast to play on legendary, and every weapon had its role and its flaws, while in most other fps games up to that point and even later, there's like 1 or 2 weapons most use, the rest is novelty fluff.

Yeah, I played one as well, but that's my point: all the others are basically identical. After the first one you play it gets pretty boring imho, it's basically "more of the same".
Maybe I just don't get it, everyone else seem to think they're superb... I'm always amazed looking at the review scores when a new one comes out.
dunno, i only enjoyed the first one, and played a bit of the second one only to realize it turned into sci-fi cod. the rest is all console only so can't say anything about them.

it had some pros for sure but was wasted on the terrible level design which turned into massive empty corridors, the outdoor stuff was fun
Naw, I haven't tried Dolphin in ages. Has it improved somewhat?
Fps got increased and runs faster, although rebel strike has some maps slow downs but depends on your system. Someone on the dolphin forum has the newest pc and run both games @50-60 fps
Yeah, this emulator is still years away from anything impressively functional. It's awesome to see it coming along though, but really.. "years" is an accurate estimation, I reckon. Citra, on the other hand, is storming! That's really pushing forward lately and I think it won't be long before it's ready for prime time.

Judging by those games, looks more like they figured out how to emulate the emulator inside of an Xbox 360 since those are all very old or 2D games?

Yeah, the games they mention are all old games that most certainly don't use DirectX. In fact, they probably run in "pure software mode", ie: everything is done on the CPU, including the graphics and audio processing, so they don't even use DX or all the advanced features like the framebuffers, the DSPs, etc.
This in turn means very little synchronization and no hw acceleration, making them easy targets for emulation.
Don't get me wrong, I commend the Xenia team for the effort, emulation is one of the hardest things to do in computing, but don't get your hopes up about being able to play commercial games anytime soon.
Also, I have a 360 and let me tell you, you guys aren't missing much, I can't recall a single game that made me say "I'm sure glad I have a 360". Most of the worthwhile ones are XBLA titles in fact. Halo and GOW are mediocre at best, the only other AAA exclusive series I can think of is Forza, if you like racing games, but that's about it.

U probably have 360 already? Becuae I heavily disagree on that matter. Xbox original lacked exclusives, almost all games having PC,PS2 ports ,the only Game I want for emulation is Bad fur day and even that not really true exclusive .....

I can list several reasons right now;
Red Dead Redemption
Dragon's Dogma
Fable 2
The Darkness
Soul Calibur IV
The Lost Odyssey
Star Ocean
Forza 4
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Blue Dragon (hey.. I loved it )
Tales of Series
Resonance of Fate
You are right about XBLA though, there's some cracking XBLA titles and this Xenia will be the only way many PC gamers get to play the fucking SUBLIME Shadow Complex Just not for a good few years yet, I'm sure.

You're right, the XBox doesn't have that many exclusives BUT some Xbox games looked better than the PC version and some of the PC versions run poorly on Windows 7 and up so it would be good to have. And there's some exclusives that are great or interesting nonetheless:
- Dino Crisis 3
- Dead or Alive 3 / Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball <.<
- Galleon
- Forza
- Outrun 2
- Panzer Dragoon Orta
- Project Gotham Racing
- Midtown Madness 3
- MechAssaumt
- Jet Set Radio Future
- Gunvalkyrie

I had forgotten about all the JRPGS, mainly because I played so many in the PSX era that I burnt myself out, now they tend to bore me. But yeah, there were some good ones, other than the ones you mentioned "Eternal Sonata" also springs to mind.
