Real men test by removing their memory sticks one at a time - that way you can keep using your PC while "testing".

Maybe tcpip.sys is just corrupted or even infected.
maybe a chkdsk /f can help. On a secure boot to command line.
And I'd run a system scan for viruses just to be sure. (Enventhough those are rare nowadays, but you never know. They often affect system files.)

BAD_POOL_HEADER is most of the time a driver problem, clean windows installation would be faster than trying every fucking shit
the other one could be almost everything, but my bet is on ram or hdd (maybe even sata cable defect). check those, please only 1 ram inserted at a time to test, and not under windows. use memtest bootcd (or the one included in ultimatebootcd)

I've got a MemTestx86 USB configured and ready to go. I'll do both sticks first, then try each one individually, followed by switching SATA cable just to be sure. Either way.. this whole thing has been pissing me right off and I'm sick of it. Hate random out-of-the-blue shit like this.

From what you are saying, it sounds more like a software/driver related problem than a hardware problem.
If you've got the time you could install Windows on another disk/partition and see if the problem is reproducible. Or you could just do a complete reinstall.
That shit is exactly why I hate Windows sometimes. Never happened on OSX f.e.

the reset of the ip stack should happen after every shutdown (with 8.1 with every REAL shutdown)

In a past, started getting tcpip.sys BSODs after one of the Windows updates. Updating Realtek network drivers to the one recommended by Windows Update solved the problem.

So you are not using a wifi adapter, right? Try rolling back the network driver for testing.
Could also be related to a firewall/antivirus I guess.

I've experienced some problems after removing my old audigy (was there just to cover the whole in the back of the case, really ) and switching my AMDerp 6850 to an nDerpia 560TI so I'm half hoping that a format will solve it but I think I know better
Worst case scenario everything is still under warranty so no big deal... hopefruitly.

Do you have an antivirus/firewall installed? Or some kind of monitoring sofware like network monitor or wireshark?

Maybe an AVAST update broke your shit. Why don't you uninstall both and reinstall if it doesn't make a difference? I believe disabling them doesn't remove their network filtering/hooks.
The settings should remain saved in the user's profile, so it's a minor annoyance.

I've uninstalled NetWorx first, will wait and see what happens now. I'll take Avast if it still does it. Thanks VGA.

Sister's laptop also got half-bricked following some windows updates that she did (fuck you windows update) with a black screen and mouse pointer after logging in. Issue was solved after rolling back.
Probably not related to your issue, but she didn't run win update for quite a while.
