Better wait for Blops2 to come out and provide that much needed FPS fix.

Chapter 3 so far

Liking it. Finally I am playing a damn game for a starters... I dont play much recently but this (even tho nothing amazing) is pretty enjoyable. Shooting feels medicore but on the good side. Constant doors opening and power switching is annoying and interrupts gameplay... Whenever I see power lever in a game, I have shivers coming down my spine and want to commit suicide... Switching power levers for 15hours in Alien Isolation destroyed gamer in me Crying or Very sad

But the dlc itself is better than main game ! Love graphics and setting. performance is great too after some tweaking (like dof to medium)

How is this better than the original game? That game was pretty fucking amazing. This feels cheap in comparison, albeit enjoyable nonetheless.

You may have to turn some stuff down, and use VT Compression due to the low VRAM, but it should be okay.

How's the story? The previous game had a somewhat nice(for a shooter) story and characters...

It's working here with these settings enabled:

PS It runs OK.. stable 60 fps(adaptive vsync) at max settings and AAx2..however.. there are strange fps drops during some in-game cutscenes

PPS supercharged soldiers or whatever they are called are annoying...

I'm getting random hiccups in performance, basically regardless of video settings. My rig is quite old (dual-core AMD Athlon II beign the weakest unit), but I never had this with TNO. What happens is the game seems to randomly lock up for a sec or two, even during the intro vids... Then, the game runs smoothly, I don't notice and FSP drops or dips, but suddenly - last night, after 2 hours of play, or when opening the journal / map at times - there is a brief "freeze".

Any suggestions as to how to remedy this?

Oh, I've just seen above that horny has the same issue during in-game cutscenes. Quite the same problem here.

How do you manage to set the vsync on adapative. Everytime i change it to on or adaptive. It goes off after a few seconds.

when i force vsync on in control panel. The game becomes a slide show again and i see purple squares. When i set it on default or adaptive in the control panel eveyrthing is normal again.

Can you test what happen if you set vsync on in the control panel.

I didn't quite get what you want me to do.. You want me to set it to "On" instead of "Adaptive"?

Played for several hours last night, absolutely loving it! I still think WolfTNO is far better, this one really does feel like an additional slice of gameplay and I honestly think it could have been sold as an expansion pack .. $20 isn't unreasonable for an expansion of this size and quality, but I guess they wanted to capitalise on it by getting as many sales as possible, so making it standalone does that.

I'll finish it now and then likely replay TNO Very Happy

I am at the prison atm and it runs OK,I don't have any weird problems like the ones you described. But I prefer to use adaptive vsync coz sometimes "normal" vsync is screwed up like in GTAV.

I tried again to turn vsync on in the control panel. Now it runs normal.

Lol odd stuttering at 60fps and texture flickering when turning... yay! Laughing

Turns out my flickering was because compression was enabled. Turning that off (and the cuda thing too at the same time) and it solved my texture flickering.. Though the odd stuttering while being at 60 fps didnt go away Sad

Yeah, same thing happened to me. Enabling compression causes *massive* texture/geometry flickering.

I have started with TNO despite your advise Razz
1080p everything on medium, strangely I don't have texture popups and the game runs smooth. Game's fun but idk, even though I like FPS I'm getting bored/tired after a while. The 40's approaching fast it seems...
