There's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter on ABC.
On Netflix there is Daredevil and A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and the Defenders will follow.
Now it seems Marvel wants two new ABC shows. One will be a Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff while the other will reinvent an existing Marvel superhero.

I have been enjoying what I have watched of Daredevil, Netflix is doing a better job than ABC and main stream networks, but what is with those random characters for the other series.
The Punisher would be a perfect tv series for Netflix.

it's just not worth doing if it's not R-rated
could be cool having him take random small timers in the first season and a bigger local organization to end the season and then focus full seasons on infiltrating and taking down one bigger organization at a time all across the US

who knows what this one might be - it mght very well be something with Inhumans society they introduced recently or "Adventures of Deathlok" or something else which is on the side of AoS but never be main focus .

I would love if a potential show about the Punisher toke place in Garth Ennis' version of the character. There are so many nice stories which takes place in a more mature and "real" world. But as much I would love that sort of show, I wouldnt count on ABC to make that. I mean its ABC. No, Netflix would be much more suitable.

What is this bullshit. Who asked for AoS spin-off? Like everyone is saying... Punisher would work best as a 10-13 episode series.
Damn.. come to think of it, the Rucka run would be perfect and would just need a few minor tweaks. He was menacing in that run.
Although the Vulture scene would blow the budget it would be insane
1 and 2 are still amazing.

An “Agents of SHIELD” offshoot was originally reported in April, but was soon after shot down with the network deciding not to move forward. However, during New York Upfronts this spring, ABC president Paul Lee alluded to the possibility of the series being resurrected, teasing, “It certainly is a possibility of spinning them off.”
Lee added that “SHIELD” had hit its creative stride, suggesting that the net didn’t want to mess around with a formula that was working — which includes Palicki and Blood’s storylines. “We absolutely love those characters on ‘SHIELD,'” he said, at the time.
But with “SHIELD” coming back for Season 3, in addition to “Agent Carter” returning for Season 2, there’s still a large Marvel appetite at ABC. Also in the works at the network is a top-secret Marvel project helmed by “American Crime” creator John Ridley. |
