I quit watching wrestling back in the 80's or 90's but used to like the WWE wrestlefest or whatever it was back in the day. I'll definitely download it. My 9 year old is excited for it lol.

Wrestlefest
God that thing ate my money. Didn't take me too long to figure out a reasonably effective winning technique in the tag team matches with Ted diBiase and Jake Roberts.

Wow what a load of Meh.
For anyone who hasn't played this yet, or remembers the older games on the PS2/3.... this is a shocking change of gameplay, more reminiscent of the really old Raw is War PC game of yesteryear, with slow measured gameplay, reversals and pointless minigames that just slow the game down to a crawl rather than offering any sort of action based play.
Controls are clumsy, moves are hard to pull off because it feels very hit and miss if you get it or not. There are obviously strategies to this game, but I really couldn't care less about them. I wanted a fighting game, not a slow paced chess match.
Graphics really are VERY meh, and while there are an impressive amount of moves to choose from, it just feels very.. I dunno, Crap, thats the word.
Oh well.

Haven't watched wrestling since 1993 where Lex Luger, The Undertaker and The Steiner Brothers defeated Yokozuna, Crush, Ludvig Borga, and Quebecer Jacques.
I was hoping more classic wrestlers was present like Million Dollar Man, Macho Man, Mr. Perfect and so on, or at least, give me the option to create custom entrance videos and music. I heard they had that in former titles, so it is a shame they cut it out

This one was striped of a lot of the stuff from previous games since this is their first current gen release on a new engine and platforms. 2K16 should be a vast improvement now that they know what they are doing on these systems.

Blood is off by default but can be turned on in the options. I am getting some slow down occasionally so I will have to look into the options a bit more and no matter what I set, the end of the match replays are messed up.
Seems moding might be a bit easier then the console versions though as people are already updating the Titantrons and themes for the current superstars.

Just FYI, most of the bugs you mentioned in the second sentence are caused by Depth of Field being on. Turn that off via the launcher and they're fixed.
But yea, the game is clunky and unsatisfying.

This game is almost like playing Dragons Lair with wrestlers. You push your stick towards where you want to go, you press a button and a direction, and an animation takes over. You wait till it's finished, then you do it again - but before it starts, you wait for the opponent to get up. You can press RB to reverse, although it appears your need the reaction times of a computer to actually pull it off, as the actual window of opportunity is different for each move, and you can never really figure out exactly WHEN to press it ('TOO EARLY').
Meh.

You're right but idk what else did you expect. The gameplay has always been like that. I'm not so match into fighting games (except FNR ofc) but the game is quite good for some fun. The predetermined animations exist in every sports videogame, even in NBA2k.
I like the difficulty of the window of opportunity regarding counter moves/reverse/defense. I think you can balance some things in the gameplay balancing menu but I haven't really got deep in the options there.

You can create wrestlers but there is no way to imports the real images to use on them since you need to upload them to the 2K site in order to be able to download them in game for use. Maybe someone will figure out a way to bypass that but this year the create a wrestler feature is really bare bones compared to WWE 2K14 so without that feature you can not get too creative.
