i hate cars, so that may be the reason i'm struggling to calculate.
lets say we have a car 10.000 euro -> 5.6 l/100 km
2'nd car, 15.000 euro -> 3.8 l/100 km.
1 l => 1.2 euro, so with 5000 euro -> ~4100 l.
nevermind power and other details, after how many km you can say that the 15.000 car is worth the price ?
i have like 5 different calculations every one with different results so if you can explain a bit, i would love to hear it.
thanks.

you do not even need to worry about it. You can either afford the 5k more or not. If it's just a mental torture problem where you worry about spending that much on a car then math is not the problem.
Sounds to me like you are on the edge of concern regarding paying for the fuel anyhow.

after more head beanging, we got this, and we are kinda puzzle by result. (5 people working on it.)
1' car with 5.6 l -> 100 km
2' car 3.8 l -> 100 km.
difference is 1.8 l.
so we need to repeat this process 4100/1.8 times, which is : 2277 times.
2277 * 100 -> 227777 km (was on of my results, but i deleted because seems like a way to big number.)
so basically when you drive for over 227.777 km, you end the payment for a low fuel motor which costed 5000 euro. unless we again fucked up something. :/

Both of those consumptions are fine just buy what you like. My car averages 8L/100km in the city and 4.8L/100km outside, I got used to it.

Well, the amortization of fuel costs is calculated per year and it's usually often within companies, i never heard an individual calculate this.
Also, amortization is calculated on diesel cars ( lower fuel consumption, sometimes cheaper, etc. ).
Question is, you want to find out when the car is worth the investment?
