Since I desperately needed more hard disk space I rushed that old, never-ending Bull Riding playthrough and finished the whole thing in 40 hours or so.
I have so many things to complain about, that it'd take hours to explain 'em all. God damn it Bioware Mad Laughing

It felt like the circus of mediocrity/averageness, from the console-centric combat and interface to the writing, structure, level design, quests and so on. Only a few missions were really interesting, same for the characters (I only liked mah beloved Bull and as usual, Morrigan). Even the "epic" dragons were disappointing, it wasn't easy to achieve that. xD
All in all, better than DA2 (which I couldn't play for more than 5 hours), but that's not saying much really, since I consider that game the biggest letdown of the decade. At least this one had the Bull, so there's that.

An objectively positive aspect was that technically-wise, it can be a pretty game (not in terms of level design though, only visuals) :

Haha, I can imagine.. Rogue runs fine (didn't encounter any terrible bugs either, unlike Ubity). The PC version is almost the same as the 360 one except for the better shadows/HBAO though, so don't expect anything mind-blowing. Razz

Finally reached the final Ebon Pact area of The Rift in Skyrim, took a while longer than I expected to finish the remaining Eastmarch content and there's still a few of the so called group bosses left but that can wait. Razz

This one seems to have flown under the hump radar. Really awesome unreal 3 powered puzzle game that requires a mic to play.

I do have a pretty cheap camera with microphone which could work but using voice commands to play a game is something I'm not particularly interested in though the game itself looks really nice, been watching it since Early-Access but don't actually own it myself.
(Me shouting stuff and trying to get the game to recognize the words is probably not going to work very well either since I talk rather poorly, more so with foreign languages. Razz )

The voice recognition is really well done+ there is a calibration mode where you can record your voice for every individual spell, so you can pretty much you can set it up for supermax2004 mode if you wish.

Instead of Tial Lumeh, you can say cock balls. Very Happy

Heh, that's actually pretty interesting, if it's possible to use simpler or custom words instead of pre-defined ones that makes things a lot easier.

Reached Coldharbor so the main quest line is probably coming to an end soon although it will require hitting level 50, haven't really played much else lately thus the lack of variety of screenshots uploaded, primarily just waiting for upcoming games like GTA V and Witcher 3 to be released.

Some Far Cry 4 (and the Yeti DLC).
Finally completed the story after having spent hours wandering around, skinning beasts and mimicking Rambo. It was good fun as always, although the sense of deja-vu really kicked in after a while, it was inevitable really Razz.

Here's hoping the gameplay will get a substantial upgrade with the next iteration, some fresh ideas perhaps, before it takes the (risky) milky Ubi way.

As usual with these games some of the textures (Props and such especially.) look pretty poor when viewed up close via the first person camera mode but other than that it's a pretty good looking game. Smile

No no it's definitely there. Razz It's quite subtle though, probably the first case of CA "done right" (or well, not too annoying)

@Bloodian: indeed the quality of their virtual worlds is unrivaled. Everything feels inspired and alive, there are almost no placeholders or uninspired parts. If only their policies were that glorious too for us PC users :< (since they always enjoy to see us suffer)

@DarkRohirrim: Sad *hugs* (any eta/plans for a new-ish PC build?)

Trine 3

 Spoiler:

(Early-access.)

The game uses both a 32 and 64-bit exe so it's quite compatible and is still using DirectX 9, ReShade also seems to work for those wanting to use that and AA is FXAA with or without SSAA at up to 4x which I'm using here.
(1920x1200 at 4x SSAA or 2x2 would be 3840x2400 so it's not quite 60 FPS but it still runs really well.)

Having to navigate both the foreground and background also adds a additional layer of depth along with allowing for more complex gameplay which I'm really liking so far, didn't take too long to get used to either. Very Happy

Slowly progressing through the Veteran variant zones of the Daggerfall Covenant, tried exploring ahead but there's a few quests that need to be finished before I can explore the final areas so it's back to Glenumbra to finish the remaining content. Razz
(Was hoping to get to see more of Hammerfell than the introduction area of Stros M'Kai but it's blocked off by a huge fortress that needs to be bypassed via a series of quest chains.)

Thought I should play through them again in their GOTY re-releases before the next game comes out.
(Might finish Arkham Origins as well but it's apparently pretty buggy with WB leaving it due to what I guess was poor sales.)
