I have the same problem. Before the new patch it was perfect - no crashes.

It always crashes when a cutscene is about to begin Crying or Very sad


Probably you guys are missing some files ? works fine here on the yarrrrr release

I got ~20 hours so far and no bugs or crashes, on a 780 maxed out on the "normal" options, none of the extended options. Very pleased with the port, running super smooth and looking great.

Tried the online once and had to mute like 4 russians who kept blabbering in russian.

After having played mostly Saints Row 3/4 instead of GTA4 i do miss the garage system from their game, having a pimped out vehicle is great and all, but having to drive halfway across the map to access it kinda sucks, they could at least have made it so you change your default vehicle to a vehicle of choice.

After Saints Row 3&4, GTA V feels kinda clunky don't you think? It's all slower, sluggisher and takes more time to do anything. I loved how fast SR3 & 4 were - not to mention that the comedy was hillarious at times (the Metal Gear Solid spoof mission in SR4 alone was better than anything I've seen in any GTA game so far).

Happens when you change as well. Always happens after using a throwable during a mission. This can be bypassed by destroying stuff with rocket launchers or for example in Blitz Play by throwing the sticky out of the window of a car and then climbing down to detonate it.


Ahhh, then I can't know for sure yet if that's gonna happen to me as well, as I haven't had the chance to switch character during a mission. I've changed characters lots of times during free roaming without a single crash/freeze etc. but I guess it only happens while on a mission.


Its a specific moment in a mission when the characters switch automatically.

So, i was browsing Ammu-Nation again, and saw the Railgun was listed there (but unavailable for purchase currently).
Can you buy it after all? I thought it was exclusive to the shooting range

What is probably now many many pages back in this topic there was a post from a user who accepted requests for this but I think he's finished, about thirty or so people took up the offer. Smile

But yes a dummy LIVE or PSN account and then someone with the X360 or PS3 version of the game plays through the prologue logged in to this dummy account and then you link the account to your GTA V profile to unlock a bunch of exclusive content.
(I think it can be unlocked by normal modding once the OpenIV/OpenV utility is updated a bit more and the file format and such starts being reversed if that hasn't already happened, I know it's possible to browse through some of the archives and a few smaller mods already exists.)

Yup, some of the writing is mediocre but I don't expect from a videogame to have the writing of the "USA - Land of Opportunities" trilogy by Lars Von Trier. The theme and satire target is the same as Trier's trilogy and I appreciate the efforts of the GTA's writers.

@(Nexus) No nothing. md5 checked all rpfs as well. This is a common issue and R* needs to fix it. The crash is also related to what sabin has meant with the 'aiming out of the car' after doing a specific rhythm of actions.

Would be great though if for some of the graphical settings there will be some comparison in quality and performance (like FXAA modes and different LODs). As changes to the file probably will only be applied when restarting the game i guess?

Think i already spent 20+ hours in the game, only crashes so far were one in MP (infinite loading while i was entering a job) and when i turned MSI afterburner on. Oh boy this game don't like it. Laughing

wasn't that removed in console versions as well with gta online release ? remember people crying about it.
