I'm failed to see relevance of these news, JB. None of the products are for PC so the news itself pointless. A walkthrough video for FF15 demo would make a little bit more sense. Not much, though, considering at this point "the game is finished for 60%". PS4 release won't be before late 2016. PC release, even if considered, won't be in next 2-3 years.
so as i feared, the framerate is absolutely horrible on ps4 and makes the game almost unplayable.
i guess we already hit current generation consoles maximum performance and now we have another downgrade incoming.

The latest screenshots aren't too bad but they are also not that impressive so I don't know if there's much they can downgrade.
the first thing they alter will prolly be the draw distance, they ll cut it in half to improve framerate, as long as they can keep 80% of the processing power in thr fucking hair.

Well they added DOF but the draw distance seems intact.
(Some form of AA would be nice, if it's ever released on PC then downsampling from 4K or so could make quite a difference as it currently seems to suffer from what nearly looks like upscaling from a lower res and also that depth of field effect.)
Also, previous 3 parts are on this channel's dude. No retarded and obnoxious commentary. Quality is a bit shit tho.
From what I understood, the game will be linear, just like FF13, but you can backtrack to the places you visited before during your ride. And at the end whole world will be open (again, like FF13 with last world)
First vid go to 17:23 for the summon. Very impressive and neat take on it. Ramuh has generally been considered rather "basic" I believe and if this is still the case, I can't wait to see what some of the more advanced summons look like. Bahamut summons have usually been pretty nice to watch, IMO.

Who cares about gameplay. It's one of the few next-gen looking titles out there so BRING IT ON.
Still looks really good and I'm more than suitably envious about not getting to play it, especially when I saw some "let's play" videos of chumps being chumps Let's hope it really does come to PC, otherwise it looks like I'll need to be getting myself a PS4 soonest.
.... and goddamn it Square, why did you stick to the ridiculous anglicised "Cindy" rather than the Japanese, and series authentic, Cidney? If you were worried about the silly spelling, you could have called her Sydney instead! At least it would still be phonetically correct! Grr.. calling "Cid" "Cindy" *grumble*
Yea I don't get it either. I was playing with the Japanese voice over and they call her Cidney, but the subtitle say Cindy. So Cindy really is just for the English version? I wonder what they will call her in other languages then.
I was convinced she's just Cid's daughter, so they have some leeway.
If it turns out like that, if we hear about her dad "Cid the mechanic" in game then I agree, it would even be a nice touch... like passing the torch, so to speak.
Come on man, do you *ever* have *anything* to actually contribute? Or do you just regurgitate what everyone else has already said in the posts prior to when you show up? Yes, we know it's Cid. Everyone knows it's Cid.
Rewatched the ending of the demo. The conversation goes like this;
"so it's alright if we call you?"
Cindy/Cidney: "sure is, pawpaw would love having someone to talk to"
"we'll bring something by when we visit.. for Cid, of course"

Awesome, thanks for that! In that case.. that's actually not so bad then and the name change for the English version of the girl seems slightly more fitting

That is in english version, right? Or you translated original Japanese?
I'm curious how it looks like in JP one. Any chance you can make a screenshot?

English, yes, I looked it up on youtube. Unfortunately I don't own a PS4
Dialog mentioning Cid as Cindy's dad is at at 27:55:

Where hast thou gone, Final Fantasy?
Doesn't bother me, really. Final Fantasy has grown pretty wildly diverse since FF7 nearly 20 years ago, and as someone who has been an FF fan since the early 90s, I really don't see the point in worrying about what Final Fantasy "is" and "isn't". If FF8 can be part of the same franchise as Crystal Chronicles, then I don't see how XV could be considered such a misfit.
Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.
