This guy is full of shit. Lag is pretty low until I turn on "Windows". Then my mouse can barely move! It stutters all over the place. I think it's a local issue - perhaps tied to certain drivers of mice. |

a) ... are a console player,
b) ... haven't played many too many FPS games with excellent controls.
He is talking about input lag that occurs is some situations. For me, for example, it happens when I run, press strafe (left or right, doesn't matter) and move mouse left or right. It's a jittery/laggy movement there, no matter the mouse setting. (talking about first person view here)
Also, in some cases, mouse "view" slows down a bit or is somehow unresponsive (as in some sort of frame skipping, or microstuttering - not sure how to describe it more clearly).
But, of course, let's just bash whatever situation is not our own case and just post another useless message...  |

With a 970 and the newest 350 driver I have shadow flickering and shit from time to time with MSAA. Without MSAA or with TXAA no problems. Does anyone else have these probs? Using TXAA for now then...

No shadow flickering here (save vcard, TXAA and MSAA on). But noticed sometimes a squared shadow box around my character.

You are not meant to use both those forms of AA together. Just google that shit will you.
Txaa is based on Msaa but shiiiiiii that don't be meaning if there is smaa and other options you use them all at same time lol. |

Can't use TXAA without having enabled MSAA in the game settings.
And that "error" didn't happen but once, after testing some graphical settings. Not really a problem for me, honestly.

You can use both at the same time. Use a pad while in the car, switch to KB/M when on foot. Same as every GTA since 3.

Keyboard steering is crap (too much steering on key press) in default FOV.
Once you change car FOV to vertical 68/69, for example, it's like playing another game. With M/K.

my "self radio" popped up the first time.. then i deleted some tracks i didnt wanna listen to and now the radio channel "self radio" is gone.. any ideas? i want to listen to my own music =)

This is the reason I always quit these games.
Keyboard steering is ok though when you're used to it, needed an hour to lose the akward feeling but then it's fine, i suggest trying it for a while, the game is worth it. Shooter controls with mouse/keyboard are not great, but still way better then using a gamepad.
Flying a plane though using a keyboard is impossible, I switch controllers for flying. |
Or you do like me with any GTA type of game... play keyb+mouse mostly and switch to gamepade for vehicles. You can hotswap with ease these days, the only thing you need to have is a little space on your desk for you pad. 
Hell I even played like that in Battlefield, and for those few moments you don't have the time to pick up your pad... you can use the keyb+m settings for a few seconds to get out of a bind. |

Soooo the bug with the 1st heist occurs on everyone? I mean legit players too? I read there is a ticket open in R* forums and some comments in here. Anyone find a way to fix it or do we wait?

Had the problem only when trying to shoot from the car after switching from the motorbike. So just didn't try to shoot from the car and only ran over the cops with the truck until the finish.

Steering is dependend on FOV?  |
Yes. Also controls are linke, it seems, on framerate. Mouse is less jittery when framerate is very high.
This game was designed for PC from start, you know...

If you are using V2 you should not see any social club window. You are probably using game launcher or .exe instead of the one provided. |
