It just felt really weird and somewhat silly to have these out of place conversations which pretty much makes you wonder if you missed or forgot something. Atm i'm just investigating leaden activities for lady webb.
I haven't checked, but I wonder whether Journal is updating due to those phantom encounters eg. to offer a hint. If not, then yeah, it is pretty confusing - I did explain most of it to myself only after learning a bit more. I guess confusing players was part of the plan, putting them in a similar position PC initially was
Uhm, since you are a watcher, it's painfully obious, what's going on during those scenes. Don't know, what's confusing people.
Well, some of the stuff you're witnessing troughout the game has nothing to do with you or "past you" and yet you are experiencing those past events through someone else's eyes as well (I think there are even some dialogues involved). So while "these are past events" is obvious, "these are events from your past" - not necessarily so.
Would have been better handled if you didn't have dialogue options to choose from. THe way it feels now is long distance communication which doesn't make sense. At least until it makes sense.
The reason you have responses plays a part, you can trust me on that.

I went through Finnegans Wake and it made more sense than some of the writing in PE. At times it's all just badly written.
The "rules" of speed-running allow the use of game glitches. As weird as this may be... See Fallout 3 for example.
Still, it isn't about content, story or getting things done the way they were suppose to be, it's just about speed, using the methods the games allow. The point being? No idea. But my programmer friend - a person that ALWAYS finds bugs or glitches in games/systems - might find this cool.

does this mean say in a game like doom my speed run can include:
start game, iddqd, idkfa, idclev19, kill boss > finish game yay speed run?
or
download savegame 1 rocket from killing boss, kill boss > finish game yay speed run?
or
find creditsroll.avi in the game directory click file > finish game yay speed run?
Outright cheats are not allowed and you do have to play and finish the game but any in-game bugs or exploits can be used as far as I've understood it.
(Called a "glitchrun" or something like that then.)
There's a difference between speedrunning without glitching, such as playing through the entire game as normal but skipping as many conversations/movies/encounters as possible, and then there are glitch runs that make use of scenery hacks or game code bugs.

Paladins get stats boosts depending on how well you follow their chosen religion/religious organization's values when answering questions and actions like killing or sparing someone.
No Sanitorium fix? Well shit , guess ill have to retrace mutliple hours then (messed up a saved game :s)
What's wrong with the sanitarium? I just went through it... and I don't have a backup save Is it somehow bugged? I didn't notice anything in particular while playing...

I really don't think there is anything wrong with it.
Quick question: how do attributes work in relations to the choices you can make in dialogue? Because I was
Spoiler:
talking to the banshee in the lighthouse in Ondra's Gift, and there's a locked option if I have 18 perception. So I looked around and there's a hood that gives you +3 perception, which makes one of my characters reach 19 if I equip it. However, if I talk again with the banshee the option is still locked.
Does this mean that only my MAIN carachter counts when talking to someone? Even if I initiate the dialogue using a different carachter?? Seems a bit stupid....

Yes, the main character initiates all dialogue. I prefer it that way, gives incentive to replay with different builds/attributes.
Wonder if they've fixed the stronghold upgrade and mission bug/issue. When something has finished it doesn't actually finish until i either deliver a quest or something else. Pretty weird.

I have this too. The numeric icon says "1" or "2" or whatever events, then you click on the icon and the list of events is empty... will try with patch 4 this evening, see if it's fixed (nothing in the patch notes tho...)
Just finished my first play through at 50 hours on normal with party of 3. I Thought the game was fantastic I will probably try a solo play through on harder difficulty.
Pro's:
- Graphics, loved the 2.5D style, exceeded what i was expecting from an IE re-imagining.
- Combat, disable auto-pausing, hotkey chars to numbers 123 and skills to q,w,r, fun.
- World / Lore, thought the underlying themes to the game were great.
Con's:
- Story delivery, I found at times was hard to follow, it takes a while before things start to click.
- Itemization, are there too many unique items? I can't remember one exciting item I found in the game, where is Spiders Bane or Gauntlets of Ogre Power?
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
