I avoid those as much as I avoid the comment section on youtube (and facebook), I don't need the headache. Very Happy

Aw, go on! It's hilarious Very Happy Apparently the PC version of SoD couldn't be any larger or contain more content because of the XBLA filesize cap of 2GB, which "also applies to any PC version because they're the same title" Laughing

I tried saying the same thing on the Steam forum too, at worst this is a $5 upgrade to existing owners but it should be a free courtesy one, considering everything on their damn list revolves around XML tweaks, bug fixes, reskins and maybe some extra textures. Apparently they can't update the original build because Reasons© and they can't give it away because Microsoft TOLD them they can't.... apparently Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Obnoxious fanboys are obnoxious.

I just started playing this..it's pretty buggy.

Lots of weird stuff.

Just last night I was in a small little garage with a single door, no windows. Door was closed, I had one search to do. I decided to do it quickly and it alerted some zeds. 2 or 3 were on the radar. They were outside the door, and I was standing there waiting for them to burst in, when 2 just teleported in. door never opened, they were just suddenly inside, one was still outside banging on the door.

This also happened to me on the first playthrough, but it was a besiege mission and it was 12 zeds and a feral. Also the people in the house with me were teleported outside. It was like some kind of fucked up exchange program.

Also last night, I went to go to a house to find some missing materials for a build. When I walked in I was teleported back to base for a cut scene where I gave the girl her father's watch. I had to run back to the house I was searching because..well reasons..

Same engine, same graphics just with a few new textures and animations. Oh and they added some fog to the maps and increased the view distance at where you can see zombies.

Game of the Year. I'll take 3 copies.

Just pirate Year One Edition. It's the base game but fixed and "improved" - steal the fucking thing until they come to their senses and either give it to existing customers properly, or they offer a more substantial 75/80% discount rather than the face-slappingly insulting 33%.

Save games: Unlike the Xbox players who have to transfer saves from one console to another, you guys should just automatically have your saves available. We're testing right now. You may have to click something. But you will keep your save games.

Proving once and for all that it's the SAME GAME.

No, we won't be patching the original after YOSE launches. We supported the hell out of the original with new features and patches, and now we will switch to patching YOSE.

Apparently, adding keyboard/mouse support during Early Access and then patching nasty bugs and glitches and issues is "supporting the hell out of the game with new features and patches" But nope, abandoned the original, fuck you, buy the remaster.

Quote:
30FPS is not a "feature," it's an adjective. I'm just telling you what it is so you can make up your own mind. It is a solid 30 for the whole game, which was not the case with the original.

$30
30fps
33% discount for existing owners

Half-Life 3 confirmed >_>

We patched the original multiple times and fixed everything we could. There comes a point in software development where you can't patch anymore without making things worse. This is just a fact. Sometimes you have to start over in order, and that is a luxury almost no developer ever gets. Being told by the publisher that they'd like us to go in at the ground level to completely overhaul the systems instead of patching is a developer's dream, and we jumped at the chance. But this isn't a fix for the old game - it's a revamp of the old game with new stuff intended for a totally new audience that didn't play it the first time around. We can only say thank you and express our gratitude for any original players who think it's worth buying.

I bought it once on 360 and twice on PC (once for my wife) as well as a number of the DLC, if they think I'm buying it again they can fuck right off.

This is a just big bucket of missed opportunities. State of Decay II with implementation of features based on feedback from State of Decay would have sold tons of copies.

That looks nearly identical to the original version, the only difference I noticed is shadows are no longer unrealistically dark.
