FPS are extremely varying too. Got eveything from 25-90fps while playing online yesterday. But mostly it was ~45fps. And i already am using the lowest settings for everything, which makes it look like crap (at least the textures are really noticable)

i5-2500k@4GHz, 8GB RAM, AMD 7870 OC with latest drivers

Online mode was full of laggyness too. People teleporting around while driving. Some people were floating around in that sitting driver position, but without the car

I also got an OC'd 970 and it runs like that in 1440p but haven't experienced noticable stutter while driving yet. Maybe due to 16gb 2666 Ram or the 5820k@4,1ghz! I was hoping for at least 4MFAA but it doesn't work. Runs a lot better with FXAA....

It runs ok, around 50-60.. nature scenery seems very demanding though (40'ish)..

I also have the same problem and it's the I5-2500k that is the culprit, bottlenecking like no other.

@garus @Bob Barnsen Haven't had a single person teleport around, definitely not the servers, another Humper said he lagged but noticed it was his computer.

By the way, are there any streaming assets or such in this? I mean, would there be any benifit to install this on a SSD instead of a HDD (besides the obvious loading times)?

nVidia CP vsync set to adaptive?
nVidiaInspector forced triple-buffering and standard vsync?
Afterburner/Precision X with 60 framerate limit?

For me the only bottleneck seems to be my HDD. The game runs smooth like butter (50-60) until a random event or something else out of ordinary needs to load. I'm certain all that would go away once I get this on SSD.

On 2560x1600 I'm averaging about 45 fps. With my 780 GPU.
So I mostly run everything on high for multiplayer and very high for singleplayer to maximise FPS.
I refuse to buy a new gpu till the next generation comes around. Both new geforce ti cards and new AMD cards are just around the corner.

I'm with you on this one. It's getting really hard not to but I don't want to have to buy new cards once VR hits mainstream this holiday season.

Thanks guys for testing the game and getting my hopes up for me and my 3750K@4.5Ghz / 7950@1150/1625 to be running the game good enough until 390X hits the market.

 Spoiler:

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Totally forgot about borderless window, now I have really good performance without vsync dropping my fps to 30 constantly. I could probably raise a ton of settings on my 7870 now

Apparently, changing the Mouse Input to ''DirectInput'' from 'Raw' helps with stuttering, any thoughts?

It does, since Raw input is apparently tied to your framerate. Hopefully a patch will fix this.

The only reason i bought it for pc, are the horrible loading times / disonnects on ps4. My first try from solo to multiplayer took about as long as on ps4... maybe i try again, maybe i just uninstall it right away.

I have not even looked at frame rates in the game yet. I did notice some micro stutter from time to time when driving earlier. Other than that it's been perfectly playable on mostly very high 1080p.
Installed on my 256gb SSD. Rig as in sig.

It looks like shit and runs like shit, with constant micro stutters all over the place, random I/O accesses and incapability to allocate full 8GB of available RAM. Another crappy port from Rockstar.

I haven't voted yet since, well, duh... still waiting to try it I'm not exactly thrilled by the, near constant, reports of dropping to 30s/40s or foliage crippling performance. I'm not sure why so many are willing to accept that but I guess coming from GTAIV means even a man dying of thirst will drink vinegar Very Happy
