Performance depends really.. I can only say how it runs in the city where you start playing right after the prologue. I get 60- 70+ (driving) / 75+(walking) . It might get worse once you get to a more "complex" areas of the city.

When I stumbled across lots of grass(I have it maxed out) it dropped to 40+. I haven't been outside the city yet (I mean with the settings I have now) so I dunno how it runs there. Prolly ~40 due to all vegetation and shit.

Current settings
http://imgur.com/a/v2OcL

However, check out the vewing distance and a terrible fog\blur No wonder guys here praise it runs "smooth" . Very Happy
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=424855606

VRAM usage has never been higher than 3GB so far with the settings I have now. I reckon it runs better on newer cards like 780 and higher.

Verdict:

Quote:
It runs better than I had expected it to

but it should have better performance all things considered.

Runs good for me, maxed 1080p with x4 msaa and txaa. Ya I'm not surprised though, my specs are a little above average... well not the CPU anymore.

Game runs "ok" for me, specs:

i7 3770k
gtx 970
8GB ram

Everything maxed out except advanced settings, I didnt even touch those. And only 2x MSAA. I quite often drops to 55-50, sometimes even to 40 but only for a split second ( Only when I'm driving, too ).

4770k and HD 7950 runs very well indeed on high/max with some stuttering at times but lowering the visuals slightly corrects it. Surprised

Not sure if this is "soon" but here goes!

Runs well for me, gives me between 45-60fps but mostly above 50 in los santos during normal weather (didn't check out rain yet).
Settings are on "High" except for textures thats on "V.High" with all sliders on the halfway point and no MSAA, oh and i'm on 900p

Specs are I5 4460 and An R7 260X & 8gigs of ram.

No bottleneck from the CPU btw, GPU was at a 100% during my tests.

Similar quality to the PS3 version Garus? If yes, I won't even bother with my rig.

Could you please define "ass" comparing the whole ass thing to the PS3/X360 versions or even the PS4? That's a real, straight question. I'm not kidding, trolling or anything else.

I guess everyone knows my specs by now.. (2600k@4.1, 770 4GB, 8GB ram)
Had to manually make a 61Hz 1080p resolution, the 60Hz would have 59 ingame and fps locked to that too (and thus causing microstutter).
Didn't change much about the settings, might not be highest, but i reach solid 60 (well 61 Razz ) fps with the occasional drop (to 30..) when big explosions or closeup in trees or grass.

Could fiddle around with some options to be sitting in the dangerzone, but the restarting of the game when i change a setting.. fucking annoying..

2500k@4ghz + 780gtx lightning @ 2560x1080 (29" 21:9) at 50-60fps (mostly 60, rarely dips to 50 for a split second) on mostly very high & some high, 2x msaa, adv.graphics all off. (the differences are too minor imo for the bigger drops in performance)

I was shocked at how well it runs honestly, pretty impressed with their optimization. or maybe i was just using gta4 as a basis too much ;o

Vsync-locked 60 fps almost always (with vsync off it's 70-110 in cities but looks like shit with all the stuttering and screen tearing). 2560x1440, most settings are maxed except these:

-Grass - very high (much lower FPS when on ultra, but barely looks any different)
-MSAA/TXAA - off
-High res shadows - off (causes big FPS drops in heavily forested areas)
-Distance/shadow scaling - the sliders are at 0 since I can't tell any difference with them maxed other than lower FPS.

Specs are:

3570k @ 4.4 ghz
SLI 770 4gb's
8gb ram
Windows 8.1 64 bit

Bit disappointed with my 3dfx voodoo. Only runs at 120 fps@4k. Will try my s3 Virge on hf an hour maybe I can get it running at 8k smoothly.

Dat said game runs great and whoever thinks this isn't optimized has no clue what that actually means.
