So, any idea why Lucatiel is not at the bonfire at the entrance of No Man's Wharf? I spoke to her in The Lost Bastille, but I was in No Man's Wharf before that just to activate the bonfire, she wasn't there then either. This is the quest I don't want to mess up, yet I feel like I somehow did, huh...
Ive just started a pure faith build (never done one before)...its pretty tough so far not being able to use most decent melee weapons and no offensive faith spells yet! you start with the mace but you have to 2 hand it and its reach is crap.

The Morningstar is beast though (you can get it right away in Majula for free). I always start out with it 2handing with all my chars and it lasts you for a pretty long time. I think it also has a damage bonus against armor, basicly eating those big guys in the Heide Tower area alive.
nop. and its not just iframes that you're losing. there's a request for fixing "critical damage (ripostes/backstabs/guardbreaks) varies based on FPS" but i doubt it can be fixed, at least not in the near future ^
Just beat the pursuer and im gonna call it quits on this game, based on a few things i gathered along the short ride..
This is definatly a game for ppl with a LOT of pacience and time on their hands, its a trial and error game, i can see the apeal it might have, but i guess its not for everyone, especialy not me..
That being said.. i was getting fed up with the pursuer fight and i just countered him and used the balista, and two shot him (after watching a short video on the net) so it made the whole thing pointless, i dunno but i didnt felt that much rewarded when i downed a few bosses in the last game, and this one isnt any different, really wanted to like it, but i cannot see the rewarding aspect in trying to do 55 perfect rolls in a row and hit the boss in the same spot till he dies, and than if u fail, you go on you tube and u see that the devs even included a way to easy mode him, cause they were aware of the pain in the ass he was.
I know theres proly much harder bosses in the game for sure, but i dont see the point in these games, you guys are probably gonna bash me though ahah this game has like a cult following it seems..
You guys rly enjoy memorizing a pattern of a certain enemy and than after tha,t just do some robotized moves to kill it, repeat the process to no end?
@hellishere not enjoying the game or whatever is fine, its certainly not for everyone but

really? i mean.. really ? you can make the same claim over any sp game compared to a mp game, why the need to go there ?
I guess your right, but this game takes it to another level in that aspect, in my opinion, i ended up questioning myself not if i could beat the game, but if it would be worth the time and hassle since its so heavy on the thought of memorizing a few patterns on bosses and doing perfect timings on those rolls, sometimes it isnt even a matter of skill..u also need a bit of luck, cause they can suddenly do one of those cheap moves that insta kill you ..
Not to mention the numerous artificial handycaps the devs put in these games for no reason other than slow you down, test your patience, see how long you can take it, or hide the fact that the boss isnt actualy that hard, and some ppl might figure it out in a few tries.. and they call it features and mechanics.. bah
But i guess this stuff as been discussed to death, and im in the minority for sure..
indeed it does, and i dont have the time or patience for it either, esp not after ~500h spend in ds1 already, but taking a look at other rpgs i still think games breaking the mold like this one does will always have its place and its merits
nope, it just require patience and attention, which is rare thing in games nowadays

not needed

not in a way you said it - I just enjoy to actually think during the fight and the overall battle dance with the enemy - its kinda refreshing after all these hurrdurr cinematic experiences
I often wonder how a mighty warrior capable of slaying demons ten meters tall can be stopped by a knee-high piece of rubble that could be easily stepped over even by a disabled pensioner.
