With a massive city environment, from malls to nightclubs, there will always be something new just around the corner.

The workings of Eden are foreign, the residents mad with unpredictability. Your every decision to eat sleep or drink may be your last. Time, you’ll find, is the most precious commodity.

Days are never long enough, and night is perilous. Manage Eden’s power to keep the lights on, and control your environment.

Your holopad contains all the functions necessary to survive, in an immersive format that won’t draw you out of the world. View your status, inventory, loadouts and more at the touch of your finger.

That's definitely intriguing, if only for the atmosphere alone. Razz

@Sabin: Apparently it's using Unity 5, so maybe our 30fps glasses won't be required! xD

Let's hope so because it really does sound good, I'm liking the idea of an open world with a life to live and tons of loot to improve your character, that sounds intriguing to me (also, not Pamela related but "open world life" thing, reading more about ARMA 3 RPG mods and they sound all kinds of good)

With all these games like I Am Bread, I Am Sheep, I Am Cock or something released on PC I expected to see I Am Pamela Anderson simulator.

I'm glad I was wrong. Very Happy

Looks promising, but let's wait and see some proper gameplay content. Nothing wrong with zombies unless it's not a open world RPG released as Early Access. Laughing

Look more like mind controlled humans rather than zombies or most probably they are infected by some virus.

But still funny to see you all lament about zombies while people were asking for a zombie mod in "This War of Mine"

1 and 2 are still amazing.

I love how everyone says "zombies" and yet there's an FAQ entry on the game's site specifically explaining that they're not zombies grinhurt

Quote:

Is this a zombie game?

No! The afflicted residents are in incredible agony due to a progressive bone affliction, and thus act erratically. They have a personality-driven AI system that is randomly generated per enemy to allow them complex interactions such as running away in fear, curiosity, and sympathy. They will also need to eat and sleep just like the player, and will consume resources and items around the world.

The citizens are in incredible agony, yet they still need to eat, sleep, and do all the normal things people do whilst they go about their daily lives.. in incredible agony..... hmm ...not ...so ...sure. Looks nice though, it looks similar to the UE4 engine graphics they showcased in one of the tech demos.

coming in Fall to Early Access

http://store.steampowered.com/app/427880/
Quote:
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We're planning for an early access period of between 6-9 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“The full version of P.A.M.E.L.A. will include several new areas, weapons, items, enemies, and most notably, a fleshed out, non-linear narrative for the player to uncover as they survive. The city of Eden will be home to a large amount of lore that will be presented by collectible logs from the citizens, as well as the AI PAMELA's dialogue with the player.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The current version contains all of the core elements that make up the P.A.M.E.L.A. experience: you will loot items and weapons to survive, construct safe havens, upgrade your character and equipment, defend yourself against hostile citizens, and explore a huge, open sci-fi city.

P.A.M.E.L.A. features a rich combat system, complete with dodging, blocking, and melee and ranged weapons which can be upgraded to unlock special effects. We've put a great deal of work into making sure these core elements feel polished and fun, and they're all in the game today!”

the 2016 date is not happening now
