I think for some it's that x-rays actually show you the extent of the injury. Like the normal Scorpion harpoon might just cause a flesh wound or hit a non-fatal part of the body or Liu Kang's fireball might mostly extinguish on impact rather than severely burning...we don't really know for sure. Whereas x-rays clearly show you undeniable and often severe organ/bone damage. It's a case of implied/vague injury versus clear/specific injury.
To me though, this series has always been about over the top gore (people spew out a gallon of blood from an uppercut!) so I actually like the x-rays. But I can see how it may be hard to swallow for some.
One question, though...can you do the same x-ray move more than once in a round, or is it a once-per-round "special move?" I haven't played an MK since they introduced these moves.

I imagine you could store up enough 'stuff' to do the same move twice, but it would seem most round just don't last that long.

meh they should release a free core edition like doa with only 3 characters so i can test the netcode, responsiveness of input etc, all these videos mean absolutely nothing.

according to the "ban" in germany. its not banned, its just not allowed to sell a product which isnt rated (and warner does the same as they did with last mk -> they just havent handed in a copy for rating). the international version will get "indiziert" which basicly means isnt allowed to be promoted etc, but can be imported and bought without problems. warner knows everybody who wants to play this gets it that way. there will be no region lock anyway. worst case scenario is only: game gets not "indiziert" but confiscated. that means every german retail shop isnt allowed to sell the pegi version, but as a private person u are still allowed to import it
