The game is fantastic, gorgeous artwork and nice tactical Puzzlequest gem matching. My only complaints are the gold supply, which is really poor, and how painfully short the game is - you only get 18 fights and that's it. Wasted potential if you ask me and it's not even if they could blame Early Access either, it's a full release.

sabina did you beat the boss? Are you playing the Alias rlz?
Also, gold supply do you mean the scrap? There's plenty of scrap dude. You get fixed amounts by beating missions, too, you don't just get what you grab from the board.

Bought it, fun little game but could use a few modifications in mechanics/UI.
I find walking pretty useless but my friends says that the second part of the game is more reliable on it then shields.
@ AmpegV4 - As VGA said focusing on enemies highest dps 1-shot is a valid strategy for most of the game. You can select what you want to shoot when you open the menu with sight sign on enemy's part of the screen.

Aye, I beat the first boss but it was insanely difficult - the scrap you get just isn't enough, not when you're paying 400-600 for repairs after each mission, and then you have to pay 750/850/1200++ for blueprint unlocks *and then* you have to pay for the, sorely needed, standard Ironcast upgrades. Honestly, you don't get anywhere near enough scrap from this game and it's made even worse by the forced time/mission limit In the end, I beat the first boss by the skin of my teeth - on my fifth or sixth run, I think it was - and got so fed up with the costs that I just used Cheat Engine to give myself 30k scrap. I bought my upgrades and beat the final boss, then deleted.
It's a great game, it's just too short, too restricted, and too unforgiving with the scrap costs/gains. Oh and yes, Alias release I had most of the same feeling with FTL at first, with the chase mechanic, so using a no-chase mod really improved the enjoyability of the game with me and I kind of hope something like that happens with Ironcast

Once you start unlocking some of the heavier Drives, walking becomes near essential in the second half of the game. Shields are awesome but they only mitigate some of the damage and a lot of weapons punch right through them anyhow, but with upgraded Drives you can have 50% dodge chance.

I killed first boss on my 3rd run but I got lucky and found green blueprint that make the fight with him EASY. But on conescutive playthroughs I couldn't beat him due to poor blueprint RNG. But getting to him wasn't a problem with choosing only hard missions. I always have around 3K scrap at day 9.
There is still some work to be put into this game as I wrote earlier.

If they added an infinite mode, or half a dozen more campaign bosses/missions, and some way to work out for some extra scrap.. this could be one hell of a great game.

And more mechs. 4 mechs is kinda low. Specially since the defense mechs are much better.

In the end I hated it. It's too random, there is no strategy, you don't see enemies moves so the CPU cheats. You destroy a weapon it will just repair it because it doesn't use the tiles on the board. You can't predict it moves. After 33hr in game I beat the midboss twice. Meh.

I don't play match-3 games, except this one because it has MECHS. Steampunk MECHS.
