SAMiV has 40 kph more topspeed than me at the end of the straight, I must be doing something wrong.

Oh!? You can use DRS in this car? I never used it though. Well, that's going to change then.
Does it really matter other than on straights... for how long you can use it anyways? I guess i need to try it when i make a new video.
Maybe you need to ditch some weight out of from that McLaren P1 car of yours to gain more speed on straights. I already threw the seats out...
I just checked my last video, and looks like DRS goes on&off by itself. I never used any button to activate it. I guess its on automatic setting or something?

EDIT2: I tryed to look for where to turn it off, but i cant find it anywhere? and I have no DRS button mapped. Go figure... My Project Cars must be messed up.

I believe nobody in this forum will be able to top this time on default car setup.
In fact, I believe you cannot even break the 7 minute mark using default setup, you have to start tweaking from here on...

After watching the video I also think beating the 7 is near impossible with that setup... I do however see a second or two that could be shaved off with better lining up between curves and at some curves a tighter approach with lifting instead of trying to go faster through the corner.
Needless to say... one must have a perfect drive to get that Since this is a pretty solid lap, and I'm pretty sure I and a lot of others can't do it with the P1

Meh I'd try and beat your time as I love a good challenge but everytime I fire up project cars I get annoyed at the fact that the fps is never stable, cant be assed trying to figure out how to remove some of the lens effects which make the game look a bit blurry and give up.
Prefer iRacing and AC. Plus hows the ffb on this title? when I tried previously I always found it a bit floaty and meh :S

In the visual settings there are two tabs. The first tab is solely for visual effects and just disable what you don't like, it's fairly easy.
The second tab only sets the detail levels, resolution and anti aliasing etc. And your PC should be fast enough to play this game at 60FPS+ @ 1080p all the time.
Yeah I need to just sit down and sort out all the options properly. When I briefly logged in yesterday (didnt have wheel connected) I realised I had to quit and restart the game to a lot of the options I wanted to change.
As I only had like 10 minutes I cba lol

@@jippyuk: shouldnt be a problem to reach stable 60fps even with highest settings, just deactive aa. the 670 cannot handle ds2x i think, my 770 drops to 45-50 fps too when using ultra settings and ds2x. but i just lowered a few settings cause that downsampling has much more impact on the visual as the gfx options
Here is a picture of my timetrial time with McLaren P1 at Nordschleife. I just drove it now after quite a few several bad attempts. Currenty i'm 4th in the leaderboards.
I did also capture video of it. I shall upload it to YouTube soon.
I'm sure paxsali and others can break that time.
I tried to upload my ghost, but im not sure it never uploaded it though. I couldn't even download any other driver ghosts.

Well, time trial is different because you are already moving when the laptime starts.
I have had bad experiences recording time trial matches because the replay didnt work properly and I wanted both, cockpit & replay.
I will try time trial again, because last time I played this mode was hundrets of build versions before, maybe that problem is fixed now...
Yes, i noticed that the replay wasnt more than 2 minutes i think. So, i couldn't record that. Only cockpit during the actual driving. Anyways... i just thought to set a time in timetrial as well.
Yup, and the problems you mention... i had little problems with the timetrial as well after i exited the timetrial session. I wasn't able to upload my ghost, and after awhile i tryed to make it work i couldn't exit timetrial window anymore, so i had to quit from the X button.
But the time atleast got uploaded in the leaderboards (somehow).
