Thanks about the save!
Well,my opinion of the game:
THE GOOD!
-ORGASM on the Audio and Visuals!!!
-The beginning, easily heart touching... Made me cry!! (For reals)
-The ending
-Beautiful animations,though some aren't 60FPS,but i'll let 'em pass.
THE BAD...
-As some people says, the controls can be a bit tedious, keyboard or gamepad, doesn't cares.
-Slippery wall falling at the beginning until you get the practice. Is DEMANDING sometimes at jumps and landing precision (Those spikes from the scenario...)
-Difficulty quickly spikes up!!. Like everyone said, the "Run for your life moments" feels like HOTLINE MIAMI XDDDD !!!!!
-Some annoying minions spamming too much, making the visuals not let you see where Ori is,ending up being killed.
-The lenght (5h30~min here with some upgrade searching) ,but hey, you've fapped at the beautifulness of the game! ( )
The Spoiler Moment!
Spoiler: | For a moment i tought that Ori was about to die in the hands of Naru (or the huge owl bastard) until you see him again when the nature has been restored. Still,i wonder if there'll be a Ori 2 after seeing the Egg still intact...and hatching... |
Score: 8 (Beautiful and touching, yet the lenght could be better. Dust An Elysian Tail beats that in that aspect, but Dust doesn't has the fucking details of Ori...I think)

Good god..Another ridiculous escape but this time from Forlorn Ruins..... Uninstalled. I'm done with this shit. I just don't have time to waste on 30-40 tries doing this again and again.
6.5/10 (-1 just for this nonsense alone, -0.5 for "bosses" and crashes)
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

I agree. Escapes were hard because you never really knew what was coming, so the first death are mostly to remember the way and the obstacles to avoid. After a couple deaths, it becomes a lot easier, imo

FINISHED IT.
cant feel my thumbs any more but i finished it.
im just going to say it... the story actually angered me. i felt like i was fighting for the bad guys by the end of it.. also nothing (apart from the 'villains' backstory) grabbed me emotionally as much as that opening did... so its basically gut-wrenchingly emotional opening, followed by nothing, and then a really epically sad and depressing twist that made me feel shit about my mission, followed by nothing, followed by anger.
still a fucking beautiful game, and the gameplay/exploration was quite a lot of fun.. pity the story was poorly paced, not that deep and ultimately frustratingly depressing.

So, I just finished this. In 2 days. I haven't been grabbed like this by a game in quite some time. I don't know what to say anymore. This is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, if not the most. I don't even mean beautiful just in visuals, but music too, sound in general actually. Even the simplistic, but emotional story is beautiful. Even the world. Everything is! Gameplay was nothing out of the ordinary, but it was well executed, which is perfect as far as I'm concerned. Not every game has to reinvent the wheel. I was surprised how they managed to make it hard, but not ever frustrating (not to me at least). Easily my game of the year so far, not that I've played many this year, but... I guess that goes to show how much cooler this game is than all the others.
The only big problem I had with the game was how it locks you out of Forlorn Ruins just because I went the way the cutscene was. That meant I couldn't 100% the game. Even that, not a huge problem, just hurts the completitionist in me a bit (I'll manage), but a problem nonetheless. Apart from that I had some small freezes every now and then, mostly in cutscenes.
So yeah, in short, this is my GOTY so far, almost a perfect game.

Oh great just wanted to finish it, patched it up and started it, Ori runs in slow motion all of a sudden.
Now i just have to wait at least another month for the hot fix, cause M$ needs to certify it or something.

http://gematsu.com/2015/08/ori-blind-forest-definitive-edition-announced
Coming to Xbox One and PC this fall.
Quote: | Microsoft announced Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition at Gamescom today.
Developer Moon Studios said it looked into fan feedback about the original game and wanted to address all the bigger points. Thus, the Definitive Edition will have “a lot” of new content, including new areas that use new mechanics and artwork, as well as new abilities.
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is due out this fall. |
I don't imagine this will be a free update unless it's also free on XB1.. And I don't imagine Microsoft would want it to be free on XB1.
I mean it's "okay" if it's paid DLC consisting of new levels etc that "upgrades" you to new version, what would suck would be if you can't buy the new content but have to buy the new version of the whole game.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."

Was waiting to see if there were any further patches before starting this again, never got very far and I guess I might as well start over once this update is available.
(Whether I buy it or just download it will probably depend heavily on what the price will be set to.)
