The Assignment and The Consequence, as well as an upcoming expansion called The Executioner, are included with The Evil Within's $20 DLC pass. Interestingly, The Executioner flips the game on its head, allowing you to play as the bad guy.

Alternatively, all three adds-ons can be purchased individually for $10 each. But if you're sure you want all three, buying the pass is the economical choice.

The Evil Within is available today for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. For more, check out GameSpot's review.

After the release of the 1st DLC I went back to The Evil Within. Having not played past chapter 13 shortly after the games release, I finally finished it. I have to say it was fucking awesome. Aside from the cheesy as fuck dialogue at times, it was a great game and I really enjoyed the story. If it wasnt for the letterbox cinematic bullshit I would rate it 9/10 so it gets 8/10.

And now I can play The Assignment Very Happy

Finished The Assignment. It was pretty good! Kinda miss shooting guns though. Its all about stealth! Although Im not sure Kidman's high heel boots are right for stealth lol. Now I gotta wait who knows how long to play The Consequence Smile

Aaaaand Im done! Great game and great DLC.



Found a random pair of shoes during the game which was odd given the location.



Also the 'fake' ending was cool! Very Happy

Holy shit yet more Evil Within!? I thought it was all done with after the first 2 DLC, I have uninstalled the game lol. Looks like Ill be reinstalling it!

I have just completed it. Well it was different and short as fuck but thats not a bad thing because it was getting hella repetitive. The first thing I noticed and the most amazing thing is its full fucking screen! No letter fucking box crap! I guess they decided to skip the cinematic bullshit when they went for the first person perspective! I had fun if Im honest although its pretty slow paced combat given the size of the Keeper but Im glad it ended when it did.



I even completed New Game+ which is rare as hell for me lol.



I actually couldnt beat Sebastien and got fucked off trying. The sonofabitch headshots you with a magnum or something, knocks you to the floor and takes too much health off!

Now Im uninstalling The Evil Within again because its HDD space I so dearly need and have no intentions to play the game again unless there is another DLC but I doubt it! Might even trade it in now Smile

If this is Mikami's swan song I really respected his career and consider him one of the best developers. However I'd be cool with Evil Within 2 and he works with another of my favorite developers Hideo Kojima. Kojima could use some of the ideas he was going to use on Silent Hills (cancelled) to make it epic.

I just read this from someone on gamefaqs:

"Very important info about the new patch....

The new fullscreen patch doesn't simply just stretch out the screen, it actually displays what would normally be cropped out by the black bars, so this new patch makes a massive improvement to the FOV by actually displaying more of the game on-screen so the FOV is massively expanded vertically. Horizontally it's the same, but vertically the fullscreen patch expands it by 40% so you can see traps and stuff on the ground a whole lot easier now. Imagine someone putting long rectangular pieces of cardboard along the top and bottom of your tv, this fullscreen patch basically removes those pieces of cardboard from the top and bottom of your tv."
