I'm looking for a anime I saw many years ago and I don't remember the title.
It was on german television anyway, so the titles propably don't translate anyway - it's a german thing...
Anyways here is what it was all about:
- they found a spaceship from which they thought was from outter space / aliens
- however, it was not from outter space but instead from another time, maybe humans with time travel technology
- the ship had a sort of energy shield protecting it, or so the scientists thought, in fact the shield was "stuck" in time
- time did not change for the ship and hence they couldn't penetrate it. there was a scene where they shine a spotlight on the ship and the light reflected in a rainbow spectrum
- inside the ship there was a (sort of) gallery / museum of things, like all sorts of creatures including dinos, indicating once more the time travel stuff
- the main character was something like a mercenary or so
- one of his best friends from the past shows up in the middle of fights, they used to be in the same squad
- this friend of his was unbeatable, like Sephiroth, his signature weapon was a shotgun, with which he never missed a shot from any distance (stupid, I know)
- at the beginning there is a scene with a former boss of the main character and how now he is enhanced through cyborg technology, half man, half machine, he get's killed, big fat fella with minigun (I think)
This is all I remember and I really hope it makes sense to someone here.
Also, my biggest fear is that I might have conflated two different Animes, but I just cannot remember enough.
Does all this ring anyone's bell?
Help appreciated.
"There will be no end to the troubles of humanity, until philosophers become kings, or kings become philosophers.", Plato.
"Hyperbole will destroy us all.", Matt Dillahunty.
"The hyperbole, the demonization of the other opinion and the unwillingness to even read the opposing opinion destroys the so important political discussions necessary for the well functioning of society.", Couleur
seriously though, my google-fu is lost here aswell.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Gantz is most definitely one of the most nonsensical anime's i've ever watched.
I've only read the manga but I stopped at around 350 (cant remember). Cant describe...

All anime are the same anyway so watch something else.
