it seems still too early for a green there if theres an armored truck inside the track.
I don't think it had an effect on the crash, but yeah I do hope they will revise that spot. It's too, because it's right on top of the crash and in the middle of the curve that you'll be seeing those.
I think it's safe to say that he won't be driving an F1 car again. Which is a massive shame, that guy had raw talent. He brought a lot of attention to Marussia and the fight at the back marker field.
So best to hope for is that he'll be recovering good enough to still have a decent life.
Edit:
Well after reading up on the latest news it seems that last part is already going to be a big challenge.
Article said he has: a diffuse axonal injury.

Wiki:
Diffuse axonal injury (DAI) is one of the most common and devastating types of traumatic brain injury,[1] meaning that damage occurs over a more widespread area than in focal brain injury. DAI, which refers to extensive lesions in white matter tracts, is one of the major causes of unconsciousness and persistent vegetative state after head trauma.[2] It occurs in about half of all cases of severe head trauma.
The outcome is frequently coma, with over 90% of patients with severe DAI never regaining consciousness.[2] Those who do wake up often remain significantly impaired.[3]
DAI can be reversible in several cases. But at that velocity and that impact its probably a severe injury... which makes the patient stay in coma or die due to high pressure in brain and ischemia.
Thats why they made a descompressive sugery.
When I saw the video from the crash I thought he had some open cranial injury, but it seems the helmet saved him from this.
Was rooting for the ones at the back, sad to see how Toto and Boullier were spouting crap arguments and deflecting from re-distribution of the money. Hope it blows up and brings change... but knowing F1 nothing will happen.
Hope we can see a nice battle for the title this weekend. I was actually more eager to hear Mclarens decision... but the fucktards have pushed it further. Really hate the way they deal with drivers.
I would love to see Nando and Button together, two of my favourite drivers. If they'd top it off with Stoffel Vandoorne as a test driver... that be my perfect team. For me Magnussen, has not the talent that Vandoorne has, so it would be a waste to keep him an extra year on and remove a WC that is still quick and sensible and would score them quite some points.
Aye, expected something like that. Hope with time his situation can improve somewhat.
And on some happier news... Vandoorne best rookie of GP2, ended second in the championship and he broke a record (4 consecutive pole positions) this year. Let's hope next year GP2 champion and after that F1
And I bet it will run nowhere near as fast as how it looks.
I've always loved Ferrari (little bit less now with Vettel in there), but what they've been up to in the end off the season and off season... There won't be much improvement. I have more faith in Mclaren's revival when you see their hirings and changes implemented.
I'll be happy if it won't end up as a: Super F15SC0
I'm quite curious to see how the new team of engineers/managers have handled such a dramatic situation, but expectations are low indeed . At least they put the Alfa Romeo sponsorship logo instead of the Fiat one this year, that alone is a positive sign xD

So, the second round of testing begins tomorrow, but has (and how) your opinion changed after the first one, with Ferrari powered engines always on top and McLaren looking like last year's Lotus?
No since I have been following F1 since the 80's along with all the testing days and such... And let me tell you a secret: testing times are not representative. I'll only change my opinion after the second or third race (Australia can be a bit fickle as a show and tell).
Ferrari was fastest in the tests last year, what did that buy them? I and many others still think it will be business as usual with Ferrari: big talk and not having a championship car. With the silly stuff (way more than usual) I hope for them they don't have another year of midfield racing.
On the Mclaren bit: they are more in the realm of Red Bull in their testing days last year (Lotus was a bigger clusterfuck back then). So it can still go one way or the other.
I still stand by my words that I have more faith in them taking the steps to get back at the front than what Ferrari has been doing the past half year.
I do not however expect them to be there at the get go. But with the hirings, being a works team again and that driver line-up they should be able to get back in a fighting chance in the near future.
For this year I think it will be: Mercedes still having an advantage, Red Bull and Williams closing in. But I think only Red Bull will challenge them. Then again this is F1 and sometimes it can surprise you. Like Williams last year, thought it would take them at least another year for them to be where they were.
I do hope we see Manor Racing back in F1 tho... getting a bit silly with how little cars are on track these days.
Well seeing that we have a fantasy league for fuzzyballs... I created one for F1, might be fun to do. It's rather quick and easy, not too much to mess with compared to Foosball.

Another bump: Last day! Get in while you can!
And truthfully, we could use a few more since we are only 3 teams in the NFOhump league
Make sure to inform me that you signed up since I have to accept you into the league.
Well, well, well. Look who's in the lead in the Mini-League
Ixi's second just because he took Mercedes and Rosberg But yeah, that is going to be a sure point farm
Unlike Mclaren-Honda
Quite impressed McLaren could keep up withn the safety car

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
I'm amazed that many people were impressed with Ferrari... It was a depressing first race tbh.
Hamilton just managing his pace towards Nico, which in turn made people think Ferrari were closer than they actually are. Raw pace they are 1.4 seconds off... That is nothing to cheer about for a constructor team. Sure they made a step forward... but hell it's still abysmal.
Knowing that Albert park is also a one off track not comparable to others... I'd Imagine they are still in the same order (Merc->Williams->RB->Ferrari) if Renault wouldn't have gone backwards.
A constructor team...!
Honda disappointed me, I expected them around place 8/10 at the start of the season, but they are even more behind. That being said I still have more faith in them challenging the Mercs with time than Ferrari atm.
Renault... well I really can't see wth they are doing. They were never the best engine... but hell they are doing a bad job. Which makes Horner's whinging more obnoxious.
Race itself was quite bad, but I blame that on only 15 cars starting, especially no Bottas and Ricciardo to have a tussle for 3rd place with Vettel. I did see some promising things: Verstappen,Sainz and Nasr seem to be ready for some exciting racing.
Ericsson still seems to be a waste of TetraPak's money, that boy is not F1 material.
I hope Malaysia is going to be a lot better than this. All cars on the grid would already help.
On the fantasy league: man was I cursing when 2 of my drivers went out in the first lap xD
Ah yes... one thing positive for me about Ferrari: Arrivabene looks like a good arrival (). He seemed not content, aware of the lack of progress so let's hope he can finally steer the scuderia back to fighting for wins... but eh they are far off and with the past years I'm pessimistic as hell.
