I think that particular ground texture is due to anisotropic filtering not being used, you can see the line next to the bottom corner with the full texture detail and then it cuts off abruptly.
(Seems the shot is zoomed in as otherwise the distance should not be that short even without AF.)
EDIT: Or so I hope at least but I doubt that smear of a texture would be approved if that was how it really looked.
so it will look only a bit better than jc2 but will most probably require 64gb of ram, 16gb vram, i7x16 and dual gtx1980 for 30fps ? Oh the joy of new consoles.. 360 era was good at least in that regard and everything ran ultra smooth
edit: noticed some aliasing in those shots. Those are probably ps4 shots and if mighty ps4 cant deal with good aa then pc will be fucked

Sounds great so far. While I'm not so sure about the sandboxy-ness of the infinite C4 or free at will vehicles, they really saw value in what JC2 gave back also because of modding. 'we hope the modding community does the same (in terms of Multiplayer) to JC3 what they did to 2' also gives a good feeling.
Highly curious about the title, I'm not expecting a masterpiece, I'm just expecting Avalanche Studios to do what they can do best, mindless action fun offering a huge playground. The fact it's only for PC and Current Gen is also very nice. No hindrance in terms of old consoles.

Not trolling. I feel grumpy and not wowed by games since like 2011-12. Where are those fantastic games ?! Am I playing video games for too many years ?
The story and characters are really uninspired and just bland/boring.
World and physics are fantastic (same with graphics) but I don't feel like doing crazy stuff in it like Just cause or saints row games... and poor not fun driving physics only add to that. Somehow it's not as fun to drive around and cause mayhem as even in gta iv.
I feel like people love GTA 5 becaues it's huge release... "it's gta" ! But Rockstar knows where the money is at and they know that, they don't even have to try anymore. Just make it huge, have everything in it and put some story on top. Some characters are fine but It just lacks interesting ideas.
I loved Sleeping Dogs(story, characters, fighting!), SaintsRow3, Gta iv (for how realistic it was and for characters).
The gaming lately is very risk averse. To the point that barely any developer tries anything new, because they are scared it not selling millions. Gta V is imo game like that. It does everything properly and looks fantastic. But it gets too much of godly status for nothing. Red Dead Redemption - now that was a last rockstar game which was praiseworthy. Gta 5 just ticks all the boxes and frankly... those boxes don't tick with me.
All the games which people hate here like Gta IV, Gears of War etc etc did something new when they came out. Tried something new, exciting and now people hate them only because those games were so good that TOO many games followed.
Gta 5 is still 8-9/10 material. You just couldn't give it less because of how polished it is and how much it does but I just don't like it. Really hard to explain... so take it as it is
edit: Also, it might have sounded not as intended. It's not bad to do the same thing as previous games but just better, grander and more polished. Not every game have to be doing new stuff. no no.
I just think that GTA V gets sooo much praise, that people overlook it's cons. For me, Gta V is like avengers movie. All super heroes, huge visually amazing movie but at the same time uninspired with bad acting and for masses (which again, does not have to be a bad thing, I will still go watch avengers2... I just dont look for more uninspired of the same in games... I am playing pc games(and console) since 1997... )
