Agreed, but gameplay-wise it's still a hell of a lot of fun (at least up to the second town so far).
And the clone never worked for me at all, whether I tried Alcohol or DT, SD4Hide or VirtualCDHide, etc. Rebooted too, and nothing worked. Civ 4 I had no problems with. Simple solution though, just get the Deviance crack off cd1 of their release and forget about it.

It's SafeDisc4, not StarForce... so no. Read the nfo, or just get the Deviance version.

be sure to put off "full scene effect" and "aa" on, graphics are much beter that way!
way beter than those screens few post above..

Full screen effect = Bloom. A lot of people hate that shit (especially when the effect is as overdone as it is in this game).
Those screens above look like maxed everything except bloom off for all but the last two shots.
Edit: actually, looking closer I guess bloom probably is on in all of them. It's just not as noticable on the steamboat as it is once you get to town.

It is pretty fun game. Anyone have performance problems? Everything runs good until you get into big fights, especially with fire then everything slows to a crawl.
Of course I have everything cranked up but not sure which option to turn down. Turned off shadows but it did little and the game look like crap.

The game is fun, but animations look crappy, especially in the first mission where you have to kill the wolves, somehow it looked like 2d sprites, dont think its my computer. the game itself is fun. good game.

Cock knocker, I have the same issue. Changing the graphic settings did not do anything. Really strange. Like the Stage Coach mission I could go to the same exact spot and it will always slowdown identically each time.

Graphics suck, gameplay could be better if it was done specifically for the PC, but the game is FUN...and that's what matters.
Story also seems to be pretty good and the voice acting is top notch with some big name actors doing the voices. I recognised Kris Kristofferson and Brad Dourif immediately before I even knew they had actually done this.

so does the deviance release use a loader? Seeing the DEViANCE goblet of Fire and Gun release, i'm just trying to figure out if Safedisc 4.60 (or whatever version they are on now) has officially been cracked or if they are using a loader like they did for CoD2.
and yes this is my first post here after lurking for a while.
