Am I the only one who was really disappointed by the demo? If the purpose of the demo was to piss me off and make me unbelievably angry then it was a huge success. The demo was so annoying that I almost threw my controller at the TV. Very frustrating and unfair gameplay, the fucking cops always got me. They use approximately eight cars to block you and as soon as you're surrounded there's no way to move anymore. And then you even have to do the race again. WTF?? It was bearable for the first two races but in the third one (the drag race) you have to escape for two minutes. After they busted me three times I said to myself fuck it and turned the console off. The drag race was already hard enough for me and I couldn't see the fun in doing it again and again just to get caught again by a whole police department.
And what's up with the graphics?? It looks very strange. So grainy. NFSU looked better. Imo even NFS:HP2 looks better (PS2 version). I just played it again to compare. It doesn't have as much lighting and reflection details but it looks nice - sharp, crisp and clean.

i agree with you weedo, i thought the demo sucked real bad, i only played it twice, i hate playing demo's because most times it doesn't do justice for the retail version, but i can't see this game getting a higher rating than need for speed underground 2 game that got released last year. sorry guys for the die hard nfs fans out there.i will still try this when it gets released i just hope it's better than the demo.

i've always found that the NFS series to be best on PC, the difference on N4SU2 on PC was massive compard to xbox to the point that once i had completed it on PC i tried it on my xbox just for the big screen expericance and just couldn't play it cause it looked very bad.

i finished all the nfs series on ps2 and xbox and am really really looking forward to this still got a little while to wait but theres lots of other good stuff to keep me going  i h=just hope its as good as it looks.
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

I agree with you mcmanic, these games are horrible on the console. I dont mind the graphics though, it's the pathetic viewdistance that is so incredible bad compared to the pc. You get cars popping up all the time, it's annoying as hell.
I tried the ps2 demo of this game and it seems like the viewdistance is better but good god, now the framerate sucks and the fricking control of the cars just blows. Overall I got a much worse feeling about this than I got after trying nfsu1 and 2.
If I get this it will once again be for the pc.

As far as I know they scrapped the idea of releasing the black edition and a normal edition on the pc instead opting to release a black version of the game only (online stores seem to confirm this in the preorders that there taking for this title), I think you still get the choice on the consoles of which you buy/play.
