The game looks very chaotic. Everybody is doing his own shit.

It actually doesn't look bad gameplay wise in that video. Might have bought it if the release price was $10 instead of $60 Laughing

Yeah it doesn't look bad because he's playing with friends. You can't play with friends all the time. I doubt it will be that fun with randoms when no one is playing for the objective. Like in the second part of the vid on that desert map. AS ALWAYS there were some 1337_5N1P3RzZz on top of the tower doing nothing

1. Hotwire gamemode

2. How's doing shit on your own any different from BF3-4 Laughing

-----------

I think it's the amount of newbies that jump on the game, I've had 3 games where ABSOLUTELY NO ONE took any objective, got surrounded and then owned. Some guy was hanging in one place and never did anything, too scared to go out of the building (and we had one guy more than the other team... 8 vs 7)

But if you play with some BF vets it's good fun for sure. Regardless of the layout in the menu looking like a future F2P title, at a cheap price, it would be okay.

I am not comparing it to BF3-4 but to Project Reality for instance. Or ARMA or RO.

If kids will love it, does that mean the kids didn't love battlefield 4?

Kids love all things BF these days, cops and robbers just makes it that much more appealing... lol wut

I don't think the cops and robbers theme is the problem here. It works well with the Payday series for example and that game is not that popular among the CoD crowd. The problem with BF:H is it feels much like a mod to the already balanced gameplay of BF4. The only thing it provides is some coolness factor by giving you the ability to play the bad guys. They swear like a truck driver, they rob banks and generally look badass, which would be fine but you could add these things to BF4 easily if its factions weren't designed so damn politically correct to begin with. You have a game mode here that basically exists with some vehicles added that don't do anything gameplay wise and that is what makes it bad.

But it also has a single-player campaign and Visceral Games creative director Ian Milham addressed that solo quest and other relevant topics on Twitter (as summarized at GameSpot).

Here are a few of our favorite highlights:
-- There are ten episodes in the Hardline single-player campaign; some episodes will be less than an hour, while some will be a little over an hour. More chapters may arrive via DLC.
-- Weapons unlocked in single-player don't carry over to multiplayer, but some other "stuff" will.
-- The decisions you make in the campaign won't be specifically moral.
-- You play as one character in the campaign, but you will get to see both sides of the conflict.
    -- Don't expect many QTEs.
-- ...inspirations include the works of film director Michael Mann, including Heat and Miami Vice.
-- The story itself is linear, but gameplay is more sandbox-style.
