With this list, I only chose features that are in both games. But that attila made alot better. This list does not include NEW features to Attila, that are not present in Rome 2 Emperor Edition.

Any words on performance between the two? I can play vanilla Rome around 30 fps but if i try and install DEI mod that fixes everything i hate about vanilla, the large battles become unplayable Sad Hopefully it wont require more resources than rome..

I've read it somewhere that Attila is slightly more demanding in terms of hardware than Rome 2 (seemingly, it looks better, too) -- so basically if you can run Rome 2, then you shouldn't have any problems with Attila. You might need to limit some options/details.

Slight offtopic, but what's the deal with a Total War: Warhammer game? Is it going to happen? Has anything been announced?

Nothing has been announced but there was an accidental leak about it.

So.. mixed impressions. Sounds about right.
But then you have the comments where (some) people are like (paraphrased) "Dude wtf how can you be so negative, it's just a beta! You're privileged to get access to this! Be more thankful to CA! Wait for the final release!"

Just because all the other youtubers who got the preview build rained so much praise upon CA he's now the bad guy for pointing out the obvious flaws. lol

How do people forget so quickly how much CA screwed them previously?
Pisses me off that they can get away with this. The prehurdurr train is in full speed already.

The "It's a beta" argument is a sign of mental retardation. Along with "You don't own it, so you don't have the legal right to complain", "It's free so stfu" and "Can you make better? No? So fuck off", this is the tool of the idiots to "protest" when they have nothing better to say.

I don't understand how they can put out a great product in Alien: Isolation, a genre they have almost no experience in. But then they keep putting out fucked up releases of their Total War games in which they have 15 years of experience! WTF?!

First, it's probably different teams that work on the games, but second, and much more important, any way you look at it, Alien Isolation is a game on a much smaller scale. Technically it is very good, but still, the amount of work needed to produce a technically sound Total War game is much greater, and you see it with their releases. After many patches, the games do become much better.

nothing really unexpected in that video (judging by complexity of a game and history of the franchise)
- just don't understand the overall message of the video as he named it"mixed impressions" ,he focuses mostly on flaws and in the end says its worth the price

lol, I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that guys post. It's people like him that are the reason PC gamers get screwed over. I guess free pre-order DLC does bring the sheep in. Can't blame devs for exploiting it.

I'm a huge TW fan but I'm not gonna take the DLC bait and pre-order when it took a year for me to be able to play Rome 2 when I pre-ordered it. As they say "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me". Hope the game is buggy as hell on release just so I can message him and rub it in his face.

Rome 2 now is brilliant. They turned the entire game around. It's now one of the best TW games I feel. For the best experience you should check out an overhaul mod called DeI. It takes the standard game to the next level and is the most popular overhaul mod for Rome 2.

Playing standard or modded Rome 2 now is an awesome experience.

Damn it! Your post is making me want to reinstall everything (and I think I will Razz).

Doesn't matter if Attila is knocking at our door, he'll probably be starving and with a broken knee. Better wait some months until he recovers ;P

weird review - he praise it a lot and biggest issue is waiting for units to be built and "frustrating" diplomacy Rolling Eyes

seems some reviews are saying the AI is passive. My biggest annoyance with the AI still there. Defo waiting a few months before buying. Seems this game gonna need some modding.

There are conflicting reviews, as always. I suspect that most of the mofo journos either cba to play the game properly or are too derp to figure out diplomacy, for example. One of them whined about how big a loss it was in terms of effects on the remaining army to get a general killed on the battlefield. That only sounds good to me.

The game is prolly be riddled with some minor bugs at the beginning, but nothing major as was the case with Rome 2. This is basically an expansion, and they've already ironed out the bugs in its predecessor. Also, some game features sound really promising. This could in fact be one of the best TW titles in recent years.

Diplomacy was kinda weak in Rome 2. What's to figure out? Is it more deep in this one?

Is that for real? I avoided Rome 2.
But if that's true maybe I'll give it a go now, and wait out until Attila fixes the inevitable early fuckups.
