Could you guys please scroll down a bit, enter the captcha and hit "dafür stimmen"? (green +)
"dafür stimmen" means, that you support this open letter and that Merkel should read and answer it.
http://direktzu.de/kanzlerin/messages/kindergeld-steuergerechtigkeit-gez-niedrigzinsphase-und-eu-rettungsschirm-58644
Mainly it's about increasing the child support money that you get from the government. About regulating the taxes to a satisfying point and about the mess with greece.
I made a rough translation: (I am sorry if the translation sucks )
Quote: |
Dear Madam Chancellor,
as a fully integrated child of an immigrant family, as a father, as a politically interested citizens who pursues his social, family and professional duties conscientiously, I currently disagree with your political hesitation with respect to the matters referred to in the title.
My family has chosen and supported your government because we have placed our trust in your campaign promises regarding family policies (eg for child support). Still, this is a disappointment.
My gross salary increases annually at least in line with inflation, but the net wage remains the same.
The Solidarity surcharge, the GEZ fee, (...), and now even fiscal policy for a stable Greece sensitive to a loyal citizen of both the geo- pursued as economic relationships and understands no longer acceptable.
Your promises have brought us to the polls, but the disappointment is still great and certainly not fair!
When will the federal government stop using our tax money for the support of countries like Greece, which is pointless and a waste of money?
Why are private banks not required to use the currently favorable interest for the their customers? why am I getting ripped off by my bank ? What do you do for or against it?
When are you going to increase the child benefits like you promised us? When will the abolition of Solidarity surcharge going to happen? When will the bracket creep be eliminated in fiscal policy?
For now, increasing the child benefit would be a direct support and would have a signaling effect on the people who support the german companies by raising educated children that make a huge contribution for our country.
I would be delighted if you answer personally to my letter;.... |
Thanks for helping out. I hope his letter / message gets noticed by her.

Well, I know what you are saying Pumpy. I never trusted Merkel or chose the CDU. That's just my brothers opinion and his wishes. I'm preeeeettty sure I voted for the same guys like you did Pumpy. But the letter isn't that bad. I mean he is just asking her questions and increasing the child benefit money wouldn't hurt anyone or regulating those taxes / bank interests etc.
And Pax, yeah well...I can understand why you don't like it.

Just stop bitching and do the best with what youve got, accept reality and live a happy life or become a criminal. But one thing is sure, writing letters to Angela is completely useless and somehow naive. If you really cant sleep without doing something than join and actively support the party of your choice and help them to become more successful on next election. Everything else is wasting energy and time. Your time, the time you can spend gaming, drinking beer and watching porn...You know, life is short!

No. Tell you brother than he shouldn't have a child if he can't afford it from his own income. This social welfare system (have a kid -> beg for money to be able to afford it) makes me sick.

Yeah it is just not so simple "just increase child support money"
Every EU citizen have right to that child support money as long they work in Germany, even if the kids are not living there.
Then you create welfare tourists syndrome from eastern europe.

This social welfare system (have a kid -> beg for money to be able to afford it) makes me sick. | If that makes you sick, think of all the big corps that pay 0 taxes and the money that is lost there instead of a couple of hundred euro for a kid (In germany we don't have enough kids already, let's make it even harder for couples with kids )

Child support is hardly a problem solver, the main reason the birth rate in Europe is going down hill is the lack of children among higher educated couples. These same couples will not be tempted to get children by a raise in child support. Child support in the form of money should be a minimum amount to cover the base expenses. Other child support should be free books and more scholarships.
To convince higher educated people to get children you have to enable them to be able to pursue their education, their career and other ambitions. You can do this by providing better daycare, stimulating a workplace at home or make sure schools start later and end later so that parents can pick their children up past 5.
Too many people think simply throwing money at something will solve the problem, it doesn't, if anything it creates more problems.

So it's 184€ per rugrat.
Now how much are diapers, babyfood and clothes?
If anything like Sweden those 184€ will run out pretty quickly as those things ARE expensive.
Anyway, those poopmachines are expensive.

it's child "support" not "we pay for everything child money".
184 euro is more then enough even for high german prices. i recieved it until i was 25 ... it all went into drugs and bitches so that is what happening with the money.
i don't get why they pay it such a long time. they could end it with 20 easily. i mean i didn't mind it cause it was some nice extra money but most people don't use it for what it's thought anyway...

Well it's supposed to be a little extra to provide for your kids... not the state paying so you can afford one. So yes even here 184€ a month is a nice extra

Umm, TL;DR most of the troll comments.
@Pax, my brother is a Protestant (evangelic?). Not a muslim. therefore I'm not surprised that he voted for the CDU, if HE really did. No idea. But I get what you are saying and I have almost the same opinion as you do.
My brother and I are VEEEERY different. I would NEVER vote for a christian democratic union. fuck it, I voted for the lefties and the very often for the SPD in the past. So you can see that I don't really support Merkel either.
Hell, he just wrote an open letter / comment to her and I just gave it a "+" to see if she has the balls to answer it properly.
@Prandur: He has 2 Kids, last time I checked he was earning about 8000€ - 9000€ a month, maybe even more. I didn't ask him the last couple years. So I guess he has the right to have a child, right? He started working very early, studied and is now in a very important position at the Allianz AG (insurance company).
Again, I don't support the CDU . But still, I'd be curious to see if Merkel would answer to his open letter.
