eventually you'll just buy the games box, open it, and party streamers will fall out of it with the game disc replaced by a piece of card saying YOU WIN! YOU THE BESTEST!

steam will soon follow... click purchase, digital confetti on the screen and da-da-da-daaaaa trumpet sound.

I'd say average casual gamer.

EDIT: Or maybe just average mainstream gamer as seen by the gaming industry?

I see EA is aiming for worst company award again.
If anyone can do it, it's them.

This fuels my theory about the AAA companies focusing on retard gamers, even more. They don't care about us, older gamers, that's why most recent titles are garbage.

Theory?
They are focusing on making the most money. Obviously the optimum is influenced by the amount of paying players (rules out pc gaming Cool Face) and developing costs. What better than to target the biggest crowd of casuals, of which there are many and dont require work, because they dont have any quality standards either...

no offence Razz

Just looked over their PC game list on their site. not a single 2014 game I had the urge to play.

Just dragon age inq at some point.

only 2 games in 2013 I played from them, crysis 3 and dead space 3.

Yeah, they've been irrelevant for a while in my gaming corner.

Same here.

So much so that i have not even got an Origin account. Their games for the most part are not worth leeching let alone buying.

Bingo, win win situation.

Games require less work as the target audience have low standards all while happily handing over their (or their parents) hard earned.

Successful yearly installments of the same rehashed horseshit are testament to that.

Do you really still expect half decent games published outta there? I'm Origin free too, they had made so many mistakes and ruined so many great franchises with rushed buggy releases and dumbed down mechanics there was nothing there worth registering an account for.

So long as derpy gamers keep buying Sims lampshade dlc $45, New Map BF4 Sargeant Sargeant kit $60 I wouldn't expect anything to change soon.

EA laughing all the way to the bank, scroll this from 2012 to now.

Exactly. Look how fucking retarded Dragon Age is now, yet look at how many GOTY awards and perfect scores it received.

You're doomed if you have more than 3 brain cells and expect some sort of depth/challenge/difficulty from EA now.

Let me say it again. Draon Age Inquisition is one of the best rps of the last years awards are ok. The real dumb assholecopygames are Call of Motherfucker, Dickssin Shit and Motherfucker Cry!
