Game reminded me a lot of Heavy Rain and especially Beyond: Two Souls. And even with this game being some kind of teenage crap story, it is still a better story than any David Cage game

I fixed the launch crash with AppLocale and now it crashed during gameplay
And the writing and OMG teenage drama is

And the game play is much better too, no QTEs and shit, a lot of choices (most of the consequences come in later episodes i guess) and a shitton of interactive objects.
It's way better handled then those Cage games or even the Telltale games.
Speaking of those the first episode lasted me about 4 hours with exploring everything and trying different choices, i think that's very good compared to Telltales typical episode length.

And now that I started getting into this (for sure it references Donnie Darko and Butterfly Effect) it crashed again.
I uninstalled it and installed it again and tried without the patch and it doesn't even reach the menu. It shows the Square Enix logo? IIRC and then it's just a black screen.
So I installed the patch again and I can play, but like I said, after a while it crashes.

I didn't say that, i said the gamplay is much better handled at least too me. It's very relaxed and you can take your time to try different choices, i didn't like the hectic QTE heavy gameplay in Heavy Rain very much, haven't played the other Cage games apart from Fahrenheit which was ok atleast at the beginning but the QTEs where even worse.
@consolitis As i wrote above i had some crashes too but only with the 3dm/Ali patch and crack no problems with a fresh install of the Flt rls and crack. Dunno about applocale since i didn't need to use it did you try setting your unicode setting to english?

This game is really heavily dosed with american youth and hipster bullshit. The main character wants to be a world famous artist by taking photos. i mean this game thinks being photographer is like an actual job lmao.
Anyways game is pure shit but gonna play till the end by any chance to see hot lesbian sex scene.

No and I doubt it's that since it launches with applocale and the crashes are at random moments.

I'm just throwing this out there but it stopped crashing AFTER I let the game have internet access. Previously it would crash when I blocked it via firewall (usually right after that first logo appears) and by crash I mean black screen of stoppage. So, in case you guys have it blocked, try unblocking it.
Otherwise, I like the game a lot. But then again I live in Oregon, USA, which is where the game takes place, so maybe I am kind of biased that way. Also the main chick can't be hipster... she needs an iphone and those black framed hipster glasses for that.
Edit: Also the main chick reminds me of the chick from "Juno" movie.... even the way she acts is like the Juno chick.
The jump was really a huge one, despite the apparent similarity. We went from a heroin fighting cyber-terrorism with evil corporations involved, brain implant technologies and pseudo-humanistic views, to a psychic teenager who takes pictures of butterflies while going through an emotional breakdown due to having been reprimanded in class for taking a selfie.
I don't have the right to say which is the right approach, but I can safely say that the latter surely isn't my cup of tea. And it's quite a shame really, because as someone who likes adventure games a lot (including Telltale's non-adventures), I'm pretty sure that teen drama aside the game itself wouldn't be half bad.

If you think the visions are an emotional breakdown or her power to control time you didn't understand this episode at all, she's just a normal teenage girl in a strange situation, she may be a bit social awkward but i don't see a problem with that it works well, cause it worked in similar indie movies like the former mentioned Donny Darko or Juno, the game is an homage to indie movies like that.
It's one thing not liking something cause it's too hipster ( the game definitely knows its audience, so i can see why someone who doesn't like that general vibe wouldn't like the game at all) or about teenage problems (i don't have a problem with that either maybe cause im allrdy in my 30s, ppl who are younger may be a bit more sensitive about this dunno) but don't talk out of your ass pls.
