Anyone played the Alone in The Dark from couple of years ago? was it good ? never played it
yes it was great , but people hated the endings its got , its fantastic journey ended with no ending ... people wanted DLC or Part 2 ... they never got it .... but a remaster of this game called INFERNO on PS3 ...
and then the company was forced pushed by ATARI to do Test Drive Unlimited 2 a game that nearly bankrupted EDEN , closed ATARI ... TDU2 was a disaster

It had some neat physics gimmicks, like the ability to set most wooden things on fire and break them apart, and a neat crafting system that let you combine most things that made sense, but was otherwise a heavily scripted cutscene adventure game with really linear platforming, buggy car driving sections, and lots of boredom in between.
Oh dear ... it should be a crime to rape games this much. Screw Anita Sarkeesian, if there's any abuse in the industry, it's that of old games!
The original trilogy may be heavily dated by today's standards but the essence of it would still work - abandoned town, requiring puzzle solving and investigating with occasional combat to escape from. To change it into a pure gib-fest .... that's just insulting to fans of the originals.
They are still playing GTA 5. Looks like stomping cats, driving over pedestrians and visiting strip bars is more exciting than playing an average horror title.

It's a very tough battle between the two Bob, but indeed I think it's definitely worse than the embarrasing Raccontown. And that''s saying a lot..
I installed the ISOdemo for some laughs, good lord what a complete disgrace beyond redemption. And I'm one of those who somewhat liked AitD 2008 for what it was, go figure.
You basically start with no introductions whatsoever, there's no tension, no reason to do anything, all you have to do is roam around and aimlessly kill hordes of copypasta monsters like there's no tomorrow (you have to turn on the lights before though, therefore the inspired title Illumination), and with obviously clunky controls and puke-worthy fov, that goes without saying. It's downright offensive that this awful "thing" is called Alone in the Dark, it makes no sense since it's not that you sell more copies this way, you just piss off more people. But maybe it's exactly what they wanted to do..bah!

I also somewhat liked AiTD 2008. Especially the inventory system, no game has ever replicated that perfection. It was so tense reaching for a canister in your jacket when a monster around is corner is about to attack
