I think you go into the inventory and assign it as a support item similar to throwing weapons, the shield and your flashlight.
(Then you just press the button you've set to use said item.)
How is the parkour comparing the parkour in mirror's edge? Some say it's more advanced than in ME some say the opposite. So what's good and bad at it?
It's more down to earth. You don't jump between walls to climb 3 stories or something like that. It's what you'd expect a fit human could do in real life.
Yeah, it's more practical. I don't know what a fully upgraded DI character can do but I doubt it'll compete with this (excluding what appears to be a jump kick exploit):
Watching that makes me want to reinstall Mirror's Edge.

Eh it was already on the right side of inventory with the "equipped" stuff, though in a different section, I think. But I'll check next time I go back in the game
E: Also, how do you get the things hidden under spare wheels in trunks?
Anyone else having problem with the game causing there monitor to sleep? I'm getting plenty of crashing too.
I had the same problem and in my case it was GPU's fault.I had Sapphire R9 290x back then.
There was a bug or something (gogle r9 290\290x black screen\ signal\sleep or something like that) , mostly in some Sapphire cards. I remember checking drivers, cables, psu etc .It looked as if a video signal was "lost" thus making monitor go to sleep.
I returned it and got a refund.

Mine is a Nvidia card but I updated to the latest drivers (I downgraded earlier because of a suggestion in this thread) and windows 8 hasn't crashed for a while so I'm guessing the fault happened when I downgraded. I haven't booted up Dying Light since though, I'm a bit scared
I wonder if running at too high settings for my rig could cause it to crash?
Was exploring when I found this strange grave dedicated to "Fafik", might mean something but I have no idea what it could be besides perhaps some pet memorial added by one of the developers.
(Fafik Dying Light in Google gave a Youtube channel hit but I didn't check if that was just someone else finding this thing.)
Hmm, if it is a very common name then it could just be one of the artists trying to make that particular area a bit more unique, it's one of the corner areas near some apartment blocks.
Said artist might have gone a bit overboard but it does make the game feel more hand crafted which is great, lots of little details like that.
Spoiler:
This grave is next to a big golden angel statue - holding a smaller collectible statuette - in a large flower park and the concrete wall that surrounds the city is decorated here with a large AK-47 shooting out a rose and finally there's also some special glowing plants for a side quest. (The wall has quite a bit of graffiti on it if you take your time and follow it around the perimeter of the city but I've never seen this one other than here.)
i finished that questline and stil no guns in police cars/vans, had to watch on youtube where to get a fucking pistol; rifles got plenty from rais ppl, also saw a shotgun in shop
I found one pistol in a van and something with a little more punch from the rooftop of a building recovering something for one of Rias' guys.

or just one of the artist lost a dog during the development and wants to immortalize him in the game
Started it today and dont remember it running this bad yesterday. hmmm

Those who have it on steam, can you guys, like ever, connect to a game while playing the hunter? I tried at least 50 times, and it's statistically impossible that only a single guy would not leave the session immediately as I try to connect. Even that dude got bored after a single death and quit himself.
There must be something wrong with the servers here, since 1 out of 50 can't be blamed on people quitting.
Finally installed everything and played though the first 3-4 real missions, and.. I liked what I saw. It's exactly what I expected really, a Dead Island Deluxe, with complete free climbing and generally much more dynamic gameplay (including the combat, more satisfying). They clearly borrowed stuff from Mirror's Edge as well as dem Ubi games like Far Cry 3/4, but the result is nice (and the lockpicks taken straight from Skyrim, they made me smile).
Can't comment on the story yet, so far it's more AAAish than the m8-Z-movie feeling present in DI/Riptide. Graphics are good too, not mind-blowing, but I'd say the upgrade is very noticeable in the lighting/textures department. Except for the post-processing (which I disabled with the ghetto tweaks), especially the aberration because it really was an aberration.
And bloody hell, it is indeed a goddamn system hog . 970 here, I have 40-50fps outside with the distance slider "disabled" (speaking of which, it reminds me of those sliders from GTA IV: once you touch 'em the game activates the nope_mode and no one will be able to max them out till 2115). The game never really feels smooth
GPU usage is also generally low, yet all the 3.5GB () of vram are filled. Techland men be damned.
*waiting for patches/drivers/DIhelpers/whatever*..life of a PC gamer in a nutshell nowadays.
This game really needs more blunt weapons. I'm a good way through the 2nd city and just about everything is bladed. Haven't seen any blunt since the wrench/poles/batons etc from the start of the game (besides the 2 handed hammer). Maybe I'm missing something though cause it seems strange.
I can't seem to get that "Be the Zombie" mode to work. I'm on RELOADED+Crackfix and edited the .ini with all the DLC codes + that DLC pack that is going around ontop of that. All the other DLCs work fine, "Be the Zombie" doesn't show up in the main menu though.
I guess I am fortunate in that I can run this game at a constant vsynced 60 (1920x1200) with everything maxed, but motion blur off. I've yet to see any unusual hiccups. I assumed the worst based on what I've been reading.
Now watch the game go mental on me.
