if you're the nerdy type (like me) who likes to point out scientific plot inconsistencies (like me) stay faaaar far away
when it comes to timetravel, or any kind of physical realism, this series is a plot-wormhole
but if you can ignore that
and accept the silly and childish plots (it is essentially a kids' show with a serious twist) you might like it
watch a few episodes and you'll know

and yea, billie is a plus Smile

dr.who did a better doom story adaptation than the doom film
damn i'd love to see a proper doom film <Sad
one with hell with impaled marines, scientists hanged by their intestines, pits of lava and bloody goo, armies of demons, all the cliches
and a minigun cracking one skull at a time

I prefer Torchwood 10x to Dr.Who, although things got a lot better with the Doctor played by David Tennant, and as time passed the episodes got deeper and more interesting than the first two seasons of the renewed Dr.Who (2005).

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll check it out to see if the new Doctor is worth anything.

love the new series, i miss david tennant.

on a side note, do all police women in the uk wear skirts that short?? Very Happy

judging from what will be happening this season by the clip at the end of the ep, this could be the best season yet Very Happy

I must say this new season has started of great. It feels different from the previous seasons (i know they switched teams after the last x-mas special).

I get what Tennant meant when he said that Matt Smith clearly was going to be brilliant and how that was annoying (he was joking ofc).

Best Sci-Fi show out there.

I have been reviewing the episodes over here

and I come across as a fanboy of Moffats, but thats simply because I think he writes the best Doctor Who of the modern era.

Even when its weaker like last night, its still very good when compaired to the weaker episodes that we have had for the past 4 years.

Dunno about next weeks episode though I think the Daleks should be given a few years off

They could do exercise or something

Im a big doctor who fan , tom baker being my favorite. I have never liked this new series, it never hard any hard sci fi elements to it. Is this new season more serious at all compared to the other four? Then again , I think I may give it a shot just for the new assistant Razz

Depends, I wouldnt say it was hard Sci-fi but then I wouldnt have said Doctor Who ever has been to be honest.

On the opening two I am enjoying it far more than the past 5 years, but thats not to say the past five years have not had some gems in it also.

It seems more dark fantasy now, rather than bright council estate.

:Y

Lets face it for the sake of 700meg you can download episodes 1 and 2 of this series (in SD) and watch them :Q

Matt Smith is superb, an older style Doctor rather than the SHOUTY SHOUTY DO WHAT I SAY DAVID TENNANT!

and she is lush, I could watch her all day :Q

I didn't mean to say I regard any Doc Who as hard sci fi, but it did have elements for sure. Will give it another look , thanks for the feedback m8
