im also on the same driver and fps is at 50-60 everything maxed and view distance 50%

I had the exact same cpu as yours before changing to my 5930K ..I gained about 15-20 fps in all the latest games with that new cpu. I am sure it's the same for this game hence the great performance Im having.

checked the nvidia tweak thingy and they found draw distance performance was mostly affected by cpu and its clock.

Then, that's probably why it's not taxing my system as much as others here...

I found part of the film grain / noise shader but I'm still looking for the chromatic aberration effect.

Open DW\Data0.pak and go into the data\script folder.

Copy varlist_noise.scr to the \Out folder in the User system folder.

Should look like this:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\DyingLight\out\Data\sc ripts\varlist_noise.scr

Open the scr (script) file with a text editor like notepad and change the first value ( VarFloat("f_noise", 0.15) so it instead has a value of 0.00 if you want to disable the effect.
(Can also set it to 0.5 or higher to see how it affects the game in the main menu screens, it's quite a strong effect.)

Holy fucking hell, the zombie invasions are ridiculously fun. Decided to go into a bit of coop before work. Got in, fooled around a bit in daytime. Then it got dark. Immediately it got a whole lot more fun, dodging volatiles, just trying to stay alive. Then a guy invaded, and it was amazing. He got us the first time, then we got the hang of it and just barely killed the last nest in the second round. The hunter is a freaking killing machine, but very vulnerable if the players stick together.

Love the game so far, pretty much Dead Island done right. And I enjoyed that one, so it's pretty great this time around. Next time, I'll be the hunter.... Razz

http://www4.zippyshare.com/v/gaiiRPkS/file.html

Place in this folder:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\DyingLight\out

You can open the .scr file and change the first value to whatever you want, 0.15 is default and I set it to 0.00 here which disables it.
(I think that for Chrome Engine, .SCR stands for script although the Windows default is screensaver but it's just a normal text file so notepad works fine.)

If you set it to 0.50 you'll see quite a noticeable effect of what the shader does. Smile

EDIT: Was answered. Smile

A quick Duraibility tweak. I didn't remove durability entirely, i just slowed the decay down somewhat.

Just drop this Data folder inside your Documents/DyingLight/out/ folder

Thanks for the tweak!

why not?

Btw does it work in multiplayer? Will it work if I join someone's else game?

Umm cause i wanted it part of the game still. And not just take it out.

MP should work, they will also need to have the file, and ofc on retail make sure not vac protected game.

Well..

Just played an hour or so and got out of the tower out in the open world now..

I'm sorry to say for a lot of you but on my side performance is stellar!..

I have everything maxed out in the in game options except view distance where I keep to around 75%. Vsync On in game. No sweet fx yet, soon though...Also installed on raid 0. All 6 cpu's are being used while playing.

I get between 50-90 fps but mostly averaging around 60-65-70. ( In tutorial, I was getting maybe 60-120 fps lol ) This game is gorgeous!! I am not experiencing any heavy stuttering or anything at the moment. Keeping fingers crossed Smile

I think I'm going to enjoy this a lot!

Looks at system
lol wut

TB didn't have any performance issues too lol wut

That was what ignited a discussion a few weeks ago before release. It's dumb, but mods will fix it. MadK posted a quick one in here.

Through the hangar...if it is the place that I think it is. Climb up to under the roof and jump from there.

There's also a way behind the large hangar/train housing station whatever with a ramp and a light to get to the roof directly. But the jump to the light pole is an insanely close call without running all the way from inside.

Anyone have a problem with weird sound and stuttering during the cutscenes? Gameplay is fine, no stuttering or sound issues, only during the cutscenes everyone sounds like robot. Using newest NViDiA drivers. Evil or Very Mad

45-55 FPS at 1080p @ max settings on the rig in the signature.

I think this may be the most perfectly optimized game of all time.

How exactly is that surprising, if you're using an i7 and a GTX 970?

You forgot to mention drops to 30 fps because of vsync, or incredible tearing without it, textures from 2005 and so on
