A quick Duraibility tweak. I didn't remove durability entirely, i just slowed the decay down somewhat.

Just drop this Data folder inside your Documents/DyingLight/out/ folder

Anything in that direction is appreciated

Played a few hours. I'm quite impressed with how the game looks even @ 720p, a lot of attention to details, nice texturres and light combined with the grain filter creates a nice mood.
While the framerate does drop when you're outside it remains playable (for my paesant standards at least Very Happy) even on my shitty GT 750m. Interestingly enough, the slowdown seems more prevalent at sunset, in the morning and at night it runs fine, which makes me think it's shadows/lighting causing it.
And I didn't have any stuttering, just lower framerate, so I'm guessing stuttering probably has more to do with disk access (I have a 840pro SSD) than GPU power, of which I don't have any Very Happy

Other than that, I have to remark that I'm enjoying the game quite a lot, and that is saying something, I usually don't enjoy sandbox games, this seems alright tho. I like how the protagonist seems down to earth and not the typical brooding macho that endlessly cracks one-liners. Side missions seem ok as well, at least they have a bit of back-story to them rather than the usual generic fetch-quests of most open-world games.

One more thing: this game runs way smoother (on my machine) than Dead Rising 3, and it looks 10 times better as well... the more I play modern games the more I realize how graphical quality and requirements seem to often be unrelated these days.

Well, I just wanted to compare two modern games that are similar in nature (open-world zombie games with and urban setting). It still amazes me how lazy/incompetend some studios are, if this can run @30fps on my laptop how come way less "pretty" shit like DS3 or even Temple of fucking Osiris (which is basically 2d, tho rendered in 3d) run way worse?

I have to tip my hat to Techland this time, they didn't fuck it up as they usually do (or I'm just lucky, I don't know, just saying it runs way better than I expected on my low-end machine)

why not?

Btw does it work in multiplayer? Will it work if I join someone's else game?

What kind of AA does the game have?

Has anyone managed to make be the zombie mode work? I always get "connection can't be established" or "the game doesn't exist anymore" or something like that, I don't really remember.

I read on steam forums that this mode is way unbalanced. If it's one vs one then a player has no chance whatsoever against this zombie on steroids even if dat zombie has no special monster skills at all..

Tbh I think that

1) invasions shouldn't be turned off
2) some serious balancing should be done in regard to this mode.

1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB

2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

Well..

Just played an hour or so and got out of the tower out in the open world now..

I'm sorry to say for a lot of you but on my side performance is stellar!..

I have everything maxed out in the in game options except view distance where I keep to around 75%. Vsync On in game. No sweet fx yet, soon though...Also installed on raid 0. All 6 cpu's are being used while playing.

I get between 50-90 fps but mostly averaging around 60-65-70. ( In tutorial, I was getting maybe 60-120 fps lol ) This game is gorgeous!! I am not experiencing any heavy stuttering or anything at the moment. Keeping fingers crossed Smile

I think I'm going to enjoy this a lot!

Does the view distance just limits your overall view distance (landscape and buildings) or how far away you can see zombies?
Because i put the distance on the lowest and still see everything far away, but with many more fps

Oh and the parcour is awesome, feels even better than in the Assassins Creed games Very Happy

I had the exact same cpu as yours before changing to my 5930K ..I gained about 15-20 fps in all the latest games with that new cpu. I am sure it's the same for this game hence the great performance Im having.

Runs and looks pretty great at medium settings, 1080p
AA on, everything else off, 50% VD tho.

8GB RAM, GTX 860 2GB VRAM, i7-4700HQ.
Using latest driver because the notes said it was optimized for Dying Light Laughing

checked the nvidia tweak thingy and they found draw distance performance was mostly affected by cpu and its clock.
