So how the fuck do you get more gold, if you don't want to put real money into the game? And if you do have gold, where can you buy new looking armors or weapons? | dude wtf, there are no armors in the gem store, only skins
and what vendors? you get stuff from the trading post.. you know.. that thing where other players sell their stuff.. usually for few silvers
would had gave you some as well but.. 5k i sold and ~400 donated to various friends (not even counting the 2k throwed in the mystic forge and another 2k spend on gems) xD have none left.
1-2 weeks at max lvl and you'll have too much gold and nothing to spend it on

How on earth did you have/make 5k GOLD in this game?!
The highest I could get was around 600g - and that was a "long" time ago, by farming world events (Scarlet world invasions mainly) and doing events/bosses - all-in-all a painful and time-consuming activity. (No dungeons, though, as I never had a guild focused on that.)
In any case, it seems like a LOT of sweat is required to get those money.

At first dungeons, mostly arah, easy 20-30g per run, trading post flipping later on
and fractals for fun, otherwise yeah.. the leveling maps and quests are ultra mega boring xD

Well, the only other MMORPG I used to play was Lineage 2 back in 2006-2007, but I don't remember any confusion about it. No Gem Stores, Coins, Karma, Laurels, Transmutation Charges etc. It was very clear what you can do: level up, get some money from PvE, buy better, stronger stuff in stores, collect recipes and materials for crafting higher grade armors/weapons, do some PvP or party up for raids and sieges etc. And it was actually a lot of fun playing that Orc Tyrant.
But in GW2 you can't attack or PvP other players, partying seems pointless while doing world events, mobs drop hardly any money or decent loot. If I want to get a Bag Slot Expansion, I have to buy it for 400 gems which is 56 gold. There is a way to pay 5 dollars for 400 gems, but if you don't want to do that, what's the other way to do it in-game? You can't get that kind of gold from PvE like in Lineage 2, so that's why I was asking what am I supposed to do to get a simple thing like that. It seems like they made this whole thing so confusing and messy on purpose, so it would be much more easier to just visit gem store and buy what you need instead of doing it the old-school way. I feel like there's no real goal here or if there is, it's really hard to find. So compared to Lineage 2 GW2 is kind of a mess, especially with its "subtle" Gem Store placement.

There's no way to make that gold @ lvl 24. Get to 80, learn the game, and then ask again. Or get that bag slot now for 5 dollars if you're that impatient -.-

I actually found it exactly opposite, I had fun leveling, exploring zones etc. But dungeons were bad.

I enjoyed exploring (except Charr zones ). Did 100% 2 times. Levelled up 5 characters to 80. Although doing silly hearts were bit boring.
Dungeons, Arah is my favorite, it was somewhat challenging (path 3, I think, so many boss fights ).Other dungeons were boring. Hated Citadel of Flame.
Fractals of the mist was nice addition. However, it was same thing over and over again. I was expecting them to add new areas, but nothing happened. Got my backpack and stopped doing that.
WvW is great fun, but massive lag spoiled it for me.

So I have to level up to lvl 80 to finally afford a bag slot? How many hours would that take? And I'm not a hardcore MMO player either, maybe play 5-10 hours a week to relax. Also, I already paid for the game, why the hell do I have to spend another 5 to buy something that's actually useful and not cosmetic?

For me it was the one thing they did right with bringing in some 'new' mechanics. Seriously after playing GW2 most MMO's felt outdated to me. :/

Quite meager for an expansion pack if you ask me.
Especially with their model.

No one was buying it anyway and the game is generating income through it's TP (Black Lion Trading Company ).
Also, with the new expansion, perhaps the main game will now be anyway some sort of demo that will lack main features or "end game". IF there ever was such thing in GW2...

Nice. Might try it again soon to see how lively the game is after this.

GW2 plays nicely for me since upgrade or maybe they just fixed those mass particle issues when many spells going off because I get no lag last time I played gw2, expansion looks nice but what really puts me off playing much gw2 was the costumes/style etc.
When I got my archer to 80 I was still looking like a cross between sherlock holmes outfit and robin hood. Was not impressed

Most of the costumes (Cosmetic only outfits.) are restricted to the in-game cash shop though you might be able to unlock one or two via other means.
(Any armor piece you can equip also stores it's appearance so you can change it to any other armor piece but this consumes a transmutation charge as it's called and those aren't very common outside of personal story quests and other larger "event" rewards.)
EDIT: Oh and a general tip, if you take the extra time to visit the trade company NPC's it's much more profitable to sell items via the marketplace than it is to NPC vendors, for example a common item like a egg (crafting component.) is valued at 1 copper from a trader but it's valued at 1 silver on the marketplace which is a 100 times more.
(Varies a bit from item category to item category, buying a pickaxe and selling even simple copper ore can be very profitable quickly.)

True Spaj but everything I tried looked samey dyes were the best to offset the dissapointment, of course I could of bought a firey type outfit on store or the likes but was always miffed at the lack of looks one could make. And the hat man the hat, I tried forever and a sunday to find something that did not have either a feather sticking out of it or just a bandanna around my mouth.
I probably need to do more group stuff for drops maybe, fractals get you anything? There were tons of vendors for such sales of nice things if I recall but required a grind I think, and at time I was already burned out hammering a toon to 80. Although I must say I enjoyed every min of leveling it to 80 so that was something.
