all movie 'defenders' go post there since this has been hijacked enough Smile And I believe that Platoon is the best vietnam war film ever made. Much better than apocalypse now and full metal jacket although fmj is liked for different reasons and is much more watchable. it's also classic when willem defoe gets shot by tom berenger then comes back and then dies in that way Smile

Because you don't like the movie doesn't mean it's not a classic... Platoon, Crow?!?!?! Confused

Whoa let's stay in the same genre shall we Smile

As I've said you may not like it, that's your deal. I'll admitt the acting is bad, but that's about it if you ask me, the movie is timeless a classic Smile

Oh btw, what's up with your siggy?

that sig should be pretty clear to an old-time homo like yourself gp! Razz

what you think about the game?

Easily one of the best games I've played Smile

And I like they way they tied the story with teh movie, evrything feels authentic, btw are those the real actors/voice actors who were in the future movie?

Lol yeah my siggy Very Happy

hehe.

yeah im at 85% now. only a few bonus missions and some points short to complete it all. total time right now is prob around 25 hours. i kind of rushed it thru first time because the story was so great, so now i have to complete everything 2nd time thru. which im very happy about, taking my time and all...

masterpiece! Very Happy

edit: and yes some of the voices are the same, not all though...

edit 2: check out this shit btw. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0423512/ oboy will they ruin the reputation of the warrior movie with this remake or what?

finished the story. Great game although it did get a bit samey. Some of the flashback missions were ace, the fuck u huns mission is worth a replay.

wasn't keen on the gun bosses, lester wasn't too bad but that birdy guy really pissed me off. Had to stand at some right stupid angles to get him

Thats pretty much my opinion of it Bigdrugbaron, it is good but does get repetetive.

The game lived up to my expectations, personally though if it didn't have "The Warriors" material and license in the game then I would probably have only played it for 1-2 hours before moving on. Some of the non-movie characters looked like typical generic video game characters when placed alongside the characters from the movie, plus I fealt like I'd seen some subtle variations of the missions and boss fights before maybe in Red Dead Revolver and the GTA series.

Missions like the one where you have to collect food for starving homeless people although just a little fun and a break in between the story didn't seem like the sort of thing that a hard gang member who throws people off the side of buildings would be doing. Very Happy

I enjoyed it enough to play up to the point in the game where the meeting took place and after evading the AC Turbulls reached the Orphans territory, I completed all the bonus missions on Coney and the Flashbacks and will probably finish the game at the weekend but I get more enjoyment from watching the movie than playing the game.

personally i think it has enough depth to keep me satisfied. to my surprise.

you can pick up stuff and use it as weapons, combos, rage, character special moves, throws, stay hidden in shadows, burglar, robery, theft, vandalism, spray, brawls, throwing stuff (molotovs!), sprints, bonus games and so on. much of this i started to experiment with on 2nd round thru though.

to sum it up; there is something very adictive (almost like diablo) and satisfying about the gameplay and the longer i play the more depth there seems to be to it. when i beat it 100% i doubt ill find more to do though, but 30 hours of gameplay for a brawler game is pretty impressive imho. Smile

but yeah im biased also cuz im a fan of the movie, but its impossible to reflect over wether the game would have been good or not if it werent, since this basicly is the movie + added stuff.

As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

I only get "the disc you're using is damaged" when trying to play. Does that mean that I have to upgrade my software in my xBox or does that mean I need to get myself a new brand of DVD-R:s? I'm using Maxell DVD-R 1-8x Speed

The extra you get for doing this is that if you take flash while your health is full you go straight to rage mode. Smile

true that AM.

ive taken a couple of days off from this game, im now at 93% i think.

i have some problems completing the furies mission though. i think its mission 15. i cant get enough points. i even let them beat me down so that i get the bonus of 250, or whatever score it is, when i counter attack from there. pulling of tons of rage moves as well. hmmm...must figure out a better way of scoring high points...
