I haven't been impressed by what I have seen so far, but that doesn't surprise me as this is still early alpha, but I think there's clear potential and one thing that we can't take from SOE is that they are capable and have already a precedent of giving great support to their titles. I give it less than a year until the final version is released, so I'm in no rush to pay for a game that's gonna be F2P anyway.
the hotfix definitely improved the game. Lots more loot now. melee weapons, basic clothing and food. still haven't found a single bullet though.
Just met a guy with a little hut. he even had a padlock on the door I could see him inside with a bow and arrow, and he had two cars parked outside, obviously with parts hidden in the hut, that bastard
yeah, not many zombies, never saw more than 5 or so.
Had to kill the first guy in my last session.
I was exploring a hardware store, when I hear arrows whizzing by. I hid, and saw a guy. told him i'm friendly and starting running, but he kept trying to shoot me.
I also had a bow and arrow, and a biker helmet that gives a bit of armor. The guy just didn't wanna give up despite me telling him on mic that I don't wanna fight, so I fired back and hit him. he rushed me into melee range and wanted to punch me, so i cut him down with a machete and called him and idiot as I was looting his dumb corpse
The adrenaline rush was like the good old days in dayz mod
This is my best character so far, I have lots of crafting recipes unlocked, food, water, bow and arrow, wood axe and a machete, nice backpack, and even a pistol, so naturally, the heart goes into overload mode when ever I think my life is in danger
However still haven't found a SINGLE bullet for any gun. fuckers really want poeple buying crates it seems
I did notice now that I have a bow and arrow, people are more friendly and respectful
The first timers try to follow me around and ask for advice. Little do they now i'm pretty clueless as well, still haven't even figured out how to get fire

Also I made loads of arrows but to make a bow you need cloth. Meaning I have to search around for a tshirt or something and rip it up? Or is there another way?

I'm on EU. Calamity server mostly. zombies are still weird. I've had a few run and chase me but most are dumb as bricks
as said, you can craft a bow right away, its just a matter of using the discover tab correctly
Everything else is absolutely tolerable for the time being and should be fixed easily.
Looking at all the reviews and comments out there it's a little hard to take yours serious.
I always wondered why a company like Sony needed early access to raise funds for a game. Why would customer money make a better game in this case? The pay2win model that they seem to have introduced at launch are even more reasons to assume this is a cheap money grabbing operation built on the Day Z hype.

when you put one item in the discovery bar, every item that isn't greyed out in your inv, can be combined with it to learn a new recipe.
sometimes 1 item has more than 1 recipe even for just itself, so even if you discover 1 recipe for 1 single item, try again, maybe it has another single item recipe.
Lol. This game is pretty good contestant for WarZ (now Infestation: Survivor Stories) with negative reviews on the web. Is it really that bad or just just too many people are butthurt for not able to play it for the first 10 mins of release?
