They seemed to have progressed through the map already so most of those UV traps probably wouldn't be there from the start.
But yeah, the ability to hop up roofs so quickly seems to negate the increased hostility of night time enemies. I was hoping there'd be some that were as agile as your character. When he got to the electric plant, he just hopped onto the generators and they couldn't reach him aside from some rare hits to his feet. If he didn't suck so much at platforming, he would have been nearly invincible up there.
Maybe they hadn't advanced much of the story yet, and that will introduce more monster types.
I dont know, I watched some videos and its starting to look like really repetitive gameplay on not that big map. I guess it will be fun for a few hours then ▻ uninstall.
While this can be said about any game, we have to take into account DL made by the Techland and "successor" to Dead Island so yeah pretty much.

you will not have such mobility at start - there is whole skilltree for agility - so at start you will be slow and clunky and stuff like Dodge, Vault ,Dropkick, Tackle Grapple and Freeruning "upgrades"(for faster freerunning) you will need to unlock.
I would say they just have quite a levelled up character (in most previews i've seen chars around 25 agil. level => which means they have most of the tree already unlocked)
Also keep in mind this demo build of the game is only a certain area of the game, its not the full map and it doesn't even have all the zombie types in it, and yeah the guy even said hes been playing the demo area for like 20+ hours so hes quite leveled up and has unlocked all the save zones on the map which makes it look easy.

Oh!? That map was only a demo area and not the full game area? Hellllllllll yeah! Nice one, thanks for that KopyKat
It might be a big part of the slums area, but theres a 90 minute video that they made with the devs that show a whole different downtown area with big buildings and stuff that opens up later.
Also the dev stated that the slums area alone (not including the downtown area) is as big as or bigger than all maps in Dead Island 1 combined and the later opened up downtown area is about the same size as the first area.

I was rather worried that the map seemed pretty small in the "let's run from one end to the other" but yay for knowing that there's more
Keep in mind that they said its a run of the map of the preview build only which is only the first open area map
I just took a closer look and someone said that its even more than i originally thought, apparently on Twitter one of the devs said its 2 bigger maps and 2 smaller maps with loading screens in between obviously since they are new areas later on so 4 maps at least in total
Sounds good to me!

Not being able to change appearance kinda sucks.. They all look like clones.
PS I wanna play a female character!
You can change your appearance, you unlock different outfits throughout the game as far as i can tell. Not sure how though if its like finding them like Dead Rising 3 or from missions.

Rumor: French Amazon changed DL release date to 31 march, 2015. it seems that the delay is caused by certain scenes in the game that need to be changed, because they are similar to the January terrorist attacks in France and other European countries.
Anyway, they already had one miracle happen because GTA V moved its release date, it won't happen again and the game will probably sell like shit if they move it anywhere in March.

I deleted it to post the new news only namely this new post.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
• No score because of legal reasons (they'll publish their score in the next issue), judging from the review itself it's 8/8+/9 out of 10
• The more you play, the better the game gets; the skills you unlock and new mechanics are introduced throughout the whole game, making sure you have fun all the time
• Story is cliched and very average; one of the bad guys in the game reminded the reviewer of Vaas from FC3, but quite worse.
• There is a love story in the game, and the only good thing about it is "it's still a better love story than Twilight"
• The feeling of immersion is really well crafted, you can feel the weight of your every step, and in high places the camera swings and bobs; when squeezing through narrow passages you can hear your shoes grinding against the ground.
• Exploration requires a keen eye as well as the ability to judge distances between platforms. You can't just hold a button and grab anything near like in Assassin's Creed. Because of that, at the beginning of the game the parkour might be a little frustrating.
• In the second half of the game a grapple hook is introduced and it changes a lot of things when it comes to climbing and exploring.
• The combat system is exceptionally done, "when it comes to fighting with a melee weapon no other studio has delivered such a spectacular and believable experience", critical hits have a slow-mo effect and X-Rays akin to Mortal Kombat.
• First aid kits are hard to come by.
• The AI of human enemies is quite bad, they often are stuck or objects or they don't notice the player at all
• When you die, you don't actually come back to the previous checkpoint or anything, you're just teleported some distance away. That means that if you're fighting a boss and you die during the fight, when you come back to him the boss is already missing a chunk of his health that does not refill, even on your subsequent deaths. Because of that, the game doesn't really encourage you to get better, because you can kill bosses one chunk at a time.
• The graphics are incredible, but there are a lot of reused models and the lipsync is bad.
• There were some small bugs in the review version, but there is a day-one patch planned that might eliminate them.

So they didn't buy their own copy and therefore they don't have the legal right to complain? Hence the score coming with the next issue after they buy their legal copy.

Most likely it's because they probably played the game at Techland's offices, since theirs are situated in the same town.
