23-rd April 1999, NATO bombed the Radio Television of Serbia headquarters, killing 15 and wounding around 30. Sixteen employees of RTS died when a single NATO missile hit the building. Many were trapped for days, only communicating over mobile phones. The television station went to air 24 hours later from a secret location. NATO Headquarters justified the bombing with two arguments; firstly, that it was necessary "to disrupt and degrade the command, control and communications network" of the Yugoslav Armed Forces, and secondly, that the RTS headquarters was a dual-use object which "was making an important contribution to the propaganda war which orchestrated the campaign against the population of Kosovo".
Nobody was outraged about killing those reporters. I'm not saying it's the same as the French, but still - no outrage for those.

being a bosnian of croatian descent and having suffered in the balkan war with my family under the serbian aggression, i would still never justify natos actions in belgrade.
these were civilians ffs, there is no excuse for these bombings.
and lets be honest, neither of our governments is/was a saint, given the serbian massacre of srebrenica and the croatian massacres of serbians during ww2 for example.
both sides are equally to blame for all the horror that transpired in the last century of the balkans.
