white pixel is dead on TN (normally white display), stuck on IPS/VA (normally black display)
so use Udpixel, move the flashing square on it, leave it for a few hours.
if that doesnt work try to use one of those online stuck pixel fixers that flash the whole screen and leave it like that over night

btw. Win7 Desktop also has a white pixel in the upper left corner if Aero transparency is deactivated...they never fixed that bug.

That's a bug with windows and nvidia, it's very old already lol.
You can get 60hz by creating custom resolution with a little above 60hz freq. (like 60.01 or so)

it's windows 8 bug, nothing to do with nvidia. i installed 8.1 saw this 59hz nonsense, then returned to win7 and 60hz was back. people on amd hardware also have this bullshit.

just Google "windows 8 59.94hz". apparently it only happens in dx11 games, how weird.

oh ffs, nothing's ever that easy. It makes a coil whine like noise and especially when I put brightness to 0 for the best picture. Thought it was my external hdd all day, but nope. It also has some backlight bleed i guess, but i could have lived with that. time to RMA?

As per usual, you only look at you own shit, TONS and TONS of other have this problem.
This problem is older than win8, so next time, look up facts before you post nonsense.. But i guess that's pointless to say towards someone like you Laughing
And it's not just in DX11 games if even the NVCP or windows display panel already say 59hz instead of 60hz.. Facepalm

The 59.94hz shit is because of HDMI, because it carriers both audio and video you can't actually refresh at 60 because of resonant frequencies or some shit

I think they do it as a monitor profile on any monitor that supports HDMI

Never had that issue with my HDMI connected hardware - 59 and 60 Hz are both available and both work. It defaults to 60 Hz as well.

Using Dp and the buzz is definitely from the monitor. I do have ears. Looked it up. Some monitors have it with certain brightness settings. Not sure if I should swap the model or get another Lg

that buzz noise is one of your caps inside the screen made out of crap
had same issue with my old lg lcd, it worked fine for 3 years but sound became unbearable and actually became more apparent in time
so if you value your central nerve system swap that sucker if you can

you can try lowering sound in screen option or pumping brightness all the way to the max, temporal fix

Does the screen have external power brick? That can also make coil whine like sounds. What model it is exactly?

It's LG 27MB85R-B, connected with DP, just a normal power cable and using 0% brightness.

are you on some kind of holy crusade to get back at me for something? so much butthurt in your every reply to me.

but if you bothered reading few lines instead of angrily mashing keyboard and googled "windows 8 59.94hz", first result is guy with 7970 having this problem followed by countless other people. oh yes, it's totally about nvidia and totally only about me.

No offence, but you told kazemaky that it's a bug with Windows 8 and it isn't. It's a global bug across multiple OSes. Taking your own statement;

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Windows+7+59hz+bug

It's definitely a bug with Windows 7 *as well* as Windows 8.

maybe there are multiple 59hz bugs that are very similar, still, don't see what nvidia has to do with this, probably just wanted to provoke me because i'm a resident nvidia "fanboy" here Sad

Because the bug is more common with nvidia than AMD.. Especially in the earlier years of the bug.. Maybe now AMD joined with the bug, but before it happened more often with nvidia than AMD.

Well on win8 (and 8.1) i don't have the 59hz issue (at least in windows and NVCP programs), it's showing here as 60hz while i'm on 770.. My win7 machine with the HD6870 doesn't have it either.
I think you can safely say that it's prolly a combination of things together.

Oh I don't know which hardware it affects specifically, though I have heard it's a HDMI "thing" and since I only use DVI or VGA (for my 360, put the pitchforks down! Razz) then I've never been hit by it.

i experienced this 59ghz bug once or twice with win7, but never w8 or 8.1 and it was dvi, never used hdmi as a main output, mainly cause 360 (couldn't give a fuck about pitchforking) connected to it
