In fact try to beat a mitsubishi evo 8 MR FQ400 with ANY american muscle ever made , you would lose badly , that car can take turns at 180 MPH and stick to the road like a blood sucking leech - thats smart enginering , thats somthing to be proud off . not how big your damm engine is ... fact is it has only 2000 CC engine and it pulls over 400 horse power - that is a technological breakthrough .
wanna talk facts ? wanna talk statistics ? fine :
your basic "godlike" GT40 has 380 horsepower , with a massive ( of course ) 4.7 liter engine , a stock evo 8 has 275 horsepower on a 2.0 liter engine , thats a 2 times smaller engine then the GT40's ... in fact you can buy a small turbo replacment on the STOCK engine ( withtout changing a damm thing ) to make it 390 HP ...
Besides a GT40 is a RACE CAR while a evo is a 4 door SEDAN , the gt40 wights less then a ton , 910 kg in fact , its simple a engine on wheels ... remove rear sets , 2 doors etc etc to make an evo that wights the same ... and the evo would smoke the GT's ass so bad you would think about nuclear weapons v.s sticks and rocks .
Know what a diffrential is ? its a system that stops the wheels from spinning out so rapidly and fast that the car wont actually move forward but stay on the spot for a few seconds because the friction between the tire and the road is very low , lets talk about american diffrential ... oh thats right , they dont have any . they are still using the 50's formula of heavy wight + big ass tires with no cut ( slicks ) ... lol , thats why most of em rise up the air like they are gonna fly ...
Ever heard about ABS ? anti-lock braking system ... beacuse break too hard and the wheels would lock , people have found out - surprise! - that when the wheels are locked you have ZERO control over your car so u can slide and hit a wall , especially in the rain etc etc etc etc ... american cars ABS ? you said it ! they dont have any ! lol .
same goes for a dozen other systems that work on the backround from keeping you safe and IN CONTROL , systems you never heard off .
and i wont even go into the tuning culture becayse american crap cant even be tuned because they dont have a engine managment computer , nor they are fuel injected , they are still running on carborators that CANT be tuned thus u cant change the air\fuel mixture , american answer is : change the entire damm engine into a BIGGER ONE ! yay .

Did you know they sold on Ebay the car from 2fast2furios - the silver skyline at the first racing scene , the car was owned by a guy that tuned its ass to 1000 + HP with a 300 shot NOS system and TONS of other mods , it was painted again and inserted in the film , of course like 8 replicas were made ( only exterior ) but one of em ( and the one used in shows ) was that heavely tuned one , it was sold on Ebay for 80 grand , get a clue punk , tuning is not a crime .
god dammit , a SKYLINE is so badass its not even ROAD LEGAL in the US and in many other countries even on STOCK ( besides japan because it was made in there ) god dammit its like a weapon .
edit 2 : the only god damm " super " in a GT40 is because is its wieght ( less then a ton ) , it outperformed many cars , oh yes , in around 1965 - 1980 lol , todays standart its nothing close to a supercar , it has a pathitic 380 horse power engine and it looks like CRAP , of course in those days 380 was OUTSTANDING OMG LOL WTF bla bla bla .

lol, W@$P got owned and disappeared, big surprise.
Anyways, its a known fact that Skyline GTR-R34 can reach upto 1000 HP just by adding few mods that cost under 3500 dollars ...... just that will put that GT40 to shame, not to mention the built quality of the Skyline is FAR FAR FAR superior to the GT40, not only that its alot more modifiable then the GT40, Id take a stock Skyline over that GT40 anyday of the week.

380 hp???? What GT or GT 40 have you seen?? One of the kits from the 80's??? You know the new one has an under rated 550 hp, more like 600. Also they were putting out a lot more than 380 in the 60's you need a lot more power than 380 to get to 220 MPH on the Mulsane straight.
You can take your driver aids and shove them, I really do not want a car that is going to correct every little mistake I make. I like the Evo and the Wrx but are the the best cars in the world not even close all that OMG!%@%$ technology that is on all of the cars you listed guess what Mercedes used that years ago long before the japs decided to use it so nothing new there. Oh the new Caddies have active suspensions and they are supposed to be the best active suspensions on cars right now. And please do not bring up hp/litre I can take a modded to hell busa and make it have better hp/litre than any car on the planet that arguement just dosnt work. Hell my car makes more hp/litre than the Viper but does that make it better??
And drifting?? Don't get me started although I will say the comp coupe seems to be cleaning up when ever they enter, yes it does take great car control but it will never be real racing.
Show me a Japanese car that is STOCK that does the Ring in under 8 minutes that has been verified. The Viper and the Vette have done it I know the S7 can do it. One of the most experienced drivers ever on that track Sabiene a woman no less took the GT around and thinks it is capable of a 7:4X without traffic. Your shooting your mouth off about racing that is a true benchmark for cars to see how well they can perform on a track that doesn't require you to go sideways through a corner

It is alright to have brand loyalty but to say you would take a GTR over a Ferrari or any other exotic??? Sure I can take a Pinto and make it faster than a Mac F1 but it is still a pinto. I know you will never be able to see that analogy but owning an exotic is about passion there is no passion in a WRX or an EVO there is no history in any of those Japaneese cars. And I do recall not to long ago that Ford was cleaning up in WRC with the escort and hell the Focus hasnt been doing to shabby either and the only time the WRX won is when Colin was driving for them. The WRX and the EVO are a formidable track day car those cars can make a lot of people in a lot more epxensive cars look real studpid if they do not know how to drive. But one thing you have to look at how much of it is the car and how much of it is the driver, four wheel drive and every driver aid you can think of vs lets say a 911 GT2 chances are the WRX will beat the GT2 but you put a compenent drive in the GT2 and the WRX has no chance.

I have just recieved word from a reliable source that the PC Demo for Need For Speed Most Wanted will be available for download early this Tuesday morning. That is November 8th. Also, for the people who have already played the XBOX and PS2 demos, this one will be completely different. If this information has already been released, then please forgive me. But, I am pretty sure I am the first to expose it.

1967 ford GT has around 350 - 370 horse power , Im not talking about kits .

Evo's and STI's dont correct every mistake you make , although they can with stability control , when they feel you lose control on purpose they wont stop you ... but at least they can while american cars dont have any form of it but same goes for old school jap supercars like the supra so i didnt mention it .

But for the sake of it , you wanna compare Z06 to anything , compare it to the new Skyline GTR , although performance facts as not yet been published , i am positive it would have the Z06's ass served .

How are they kits?? They are both production cars, did you mean to say they are a limited run car??

I was not comparing American to Japaneese you seem so worked up on the technology in the evo I was just pointing out that Mercedes used this technology years ago.

Again you do not get it and probably never will, most people do not dream of owning a japanese econo box when they are kids they have posters of Ferraris and Lambos on their walls.

Thanks but I will take an E46 or an E39 over anything the east puts out. The only cars I will take out of the states is the Gen II viper the new coupe or an S7. As for passenger cars the CTS-V is worth considering or maybe the 300C SRT if it had a decent interior. I'm not a fan of the vette or Chevy I was stating a fact that the old pushrods are still a good design. Not to mention the Vette still uses leaf springs the horror the horror.

I don't know we will just have to wait and see wont we, but will the GTR touch the 7:4X that the Z put down on the ring??

Crashday has nothing to do with NFSMW. Crashday is a Stunts/Trackmania-like game where you drive around doing cool stunts and trash other cars with weapons like miniguns, rocket launchers, etc. It can't be compared to a normal driving game like NFSMW.
I'll probably get both, since I'm interested in both type of games.
